Re: Origin of User Names?
GWN = Great White North, as in the often-frozen place where Bob and Doug hail from.
In hindsight, I'd probably choose something else now, since some may suggest it's possibly racist, but that wasn't the intent. |
Re: Origin of User Names?
Emjaysmash is a username that I've had since second grade. It was originally mjsmash, using "mj" my first and middle initial and also my nickname, and "Smash" the title of the first CD I ever bought- Smash by The Offspring.
mj has been lengthened to emjay because I eventually ran into a problem with someone already using "mjsmash" (not on this forum) and the change stuck. whew. |

Re: Origin of User Names?
I'm BlackDog because when I first had to create a user name for eBay many years ago (I was on eBay early) I was stumped what to call myself, and happened to be drinking a Black Dog ale. Viola! A new internet user was born.
I lost the middle space somewhere along the line because I made a mistake registering on a bulletin board, but it wouldn't let me re-register with the same user name. So I dropped the space so I could re-register. Since then I've made all my registrations without the space. |
