Child proofing begins

The twins will be born any day now. I decided to start child proofing things early, and the first thing done is the Vinotemp. :tu Gotta have priorities, right?

You might want to bolt the Vino to the wall so that they can't pull it over (especially since that door handle will be so nice for them when they try to use it to pull themselves up) :D

Good point, haven't thought about that.

Congrats!

We got a few of those same door 'locks' to put on the dishwasher and lazy susan cabinet. They worked great for about two months (he started walking at 10 mo), then my son managed to pull them both off (at 12 mo). I replaced them, and he pulled the new ones off within a week. Now his favorite toy is the salad spinner (from the lazy susan) and he likes to help me do the dishes. Baby 2, Daddy 0.

Moral of the story: The adhesive that comes with those things sucks, you'll eventually need something stronger. If it's only on your vino, you could probably just put it on the top instead of the side.

Well done...just remember to keep all cell phones away from their reach...they don't take well to water and aren't easily flushed. :r

I've had that problem too.
Sometimes she lowers the temp considerably. I look at the humidity, and it is in the 50's. I always know she's been playing with the temp.

Oh yeah, they love to drop the temp down to about 50, but they can't quite figure out how to raise it back. :r

I baby proofed everything in the kitchen. Then we decided to install a baby gate to the entrance. So now I have a bunch of drawers I can't open, and I have to wait for the wife to let me out of the kitchen. ;)

Ha. That reminds me of the baby gate I have installed for the stairs. Most adults can't figure out how to use it. :r

Congrats!! Good idea.....but yea, it won't last long once they get older. Baby gate or obstruct the area the vinotemp is located you should be safe.
