The 5 stick problem
PROBLEM:
You will be out of town for 5 days and want to carry and smoke 1 cigar a day. You will be able to set aside .45 - 1.5 hrs to enjoy the cigar. You can bring 5 of the same, 5 different, or any combination in between. You will be smoking outside in good warm weather. BUT: 1. You cannot guarantee your meal before. (ex. It could be McDonald or a great Steak) 2. You cannot guarantee your drink with the cigar. QUESTION: What 5 cigars do you bring with you? What is the reasoning of the 5 choices given the parameters of the problem? |
Re: The 5 stick problem
Is price and rarity a concern or are you talking about every day cigars?
This sounds like an interesting scenario... |

Price is relative to each individual, but I'm guessing that most are going to lean to everyday cigars that are in their price range. Rarity again would be based on the individual and whether or not they would want to smoke a rare cigar without real control of the smoking environment. To make is simple: Nothing too rare or pricing, but really it's your call. |
Re: The 5 stick problem
I'd just go with my usual suspects. Oliva V, DPG blue, Tat Noella, DPG JJ, and a Tat Angeles. I'd never complain about smoking any of those...

Re: The 5 stick problem
If I were going on a trip I would probably take at least 2 of my favorite sticks and 3 of the everyday variety.
So I would do a Liga Privada No. 9 Robusto Oscuro and a Padron 1964 Anniversary Exclusivo Maduro for my nice sticks. For quicker, less expensive smokes I would do a Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Petit Corona, Tatuaje Noellas and a Gurkha Black Dragon Robusto. A good mix of strengths, brands, flavors, sizes and prices. :tu |
