When do you own a box?
According to Addiction's wording, if you consume 1 cigar out of a box, you no longer have a BOX.
For example, he has 5 full intact boxes of Cohiba Reservas, and 1 open box. Now MOST of us would say he has 6 boxes, but Addiction is VERY specific in his wording and says he only has 5 boxes. Is his math or wording correct? If his wording is true, then I only have 3 boxes. I tried using that Fuzzy Math with my wife http://www.internationalcigarclub.co...n_rolleyes.gifhttp://www.internationalcigarclub.co...n_rolleyes.gifhttp://www.internationalcigarclub.co...n_rolleyes.gif Yeah, she didn't buy it. So, if I open a PSD4 box and consume 1 or 2 cigars, do I still have a box? |
Re: When do you own a box?
I own 100's of boxes.
No more cigars in them though.....:r |
Re: When do you own a box?
So If have a bag of chips and eat one chip, than I don't have a bag of chips anymore? Which means than I can go buy another bag of chips? hmmmmmm I might need to use this one!!

Re: When do you own a box?
All I know is that Addiction better have a good security system because those SIX boxes of Cohiba Reservas sound freakin sweet:ss

Re: When do you own a box?
He doesn't need a security system....have you seen him?
If someone crossed him, they might never find the body :) |

Re: When do you own a box?
Prime example of the old adage (correctly worded, Adam of Leeds, Yorkshire will back me up on this one....)
You can't eat your cake and have it too..... (i.e. American way of saying it is "you can't have your cake and eat it too", which is absurd since if you have the cake, of course you can eat it, however the correct adage states you cannot eat the cake and also have it.) Hope that clears this mess up!!! Hahahaaaaaaaaa:hf:hf:hf |

Re: When do you own a box?
If you sold 21 cigars as a box, and that box of cigars started with 25, you would get flamed over it. So clearly less than the full compliment isn't a box.

Re: When do you own a box?
A diesel train left the station traveling north 1.5 hours before a freight train. The freight train traveled in the opposite direction going 6 km/h faster then the diesel train for two hours after which time the trains were 312.3 km apart. Find the diesel train's speed.
What was the question??? I never was good with math!!!:r |
Re: When do you own a box?
A box of cigars is a box of cigars if it's full of the cigars that came in it.
If it's been opened, then it's a full open box of cigars. If I sell a box of 2006 Anejos and some are 2005, it ain't a box of 2006 Anejos. Once it's empty, it's just a box. For me, it's time to get another box once the first one comes out. That way the others are getting ready for when the open box is getting smoked. I'm not sure what MOBD is talking about, but if it's a train full of cigars, I get to cherry pick. I called it first. :tu |
Re: When do you own a box? Dilemma Solved!!!!
Solved using Spock logic.....
If Addiction sends Slick his open boxes, then he will have nothing but full boxes based on the definition of the many. :D Too darn much coffee this morning........ |
Re: When do you own a box?
25 sticks in the box = A box
24 sticks in the box = A partial box |

Holy crap!!! A box that comes with 24 to begin with is thereby only A Partial Box?:r Man, that complicates things even more now.:r |

Re: When do you own a box?
I have to agree with Addiction, a box of cigars is a full box.

There are only 4 cigars in it, but it's a box, right? :) (I am not selling Cuban cigars, this is a inside joke / lame attempt at humor). |

To my own personal stock keeping: If it's only missing 3 or fewer, it's still a box. If it's short a 5er or more, then it's most of a box. Obviously, if approximately half the original number remain, it's half a box. If there's less than 1/3 of the original number, I have none... and an excuse to go shopping. :D Here's the brainbender: If I have two boxes of the same cigar (both date & factory stamps are identical), does combining two partial boxes mean I once again have a box? |
