Falto Gran Reserva Especial Prominente

Size – 4.5 x 42/47
Wrapper – Cameroon
Binder – Dominican Republic
Filler – Dominican Republic

“This cigar is available in one size only, the ‘Perfecto’. It is manufactured using a wooden mold from 1923, and is a cigar that transports the smoker to the past. With a closed head and foot, it is thicker in the foot than in the head. These cigars are bundled by a cloth fabric and come with a production card that indicates three key dates: when the cigar began it’s cedar aging, when it was packaged, and with it left the factory. The card is personally signed by Luis as a warranty of quality. The ‘Prominente’ uses a Cameroon wrapper that accentuates a delicous potency. It is a cigar with personality and character, and a medium to full body strength that highlights the elegant flavors of tobacco and espresso.” – Luis Falto

Solid roll with no soft spots. Very pleasant floral and tobacco aroma prelight.

First third
Initial draws are very woody with a peppery mocha nose exhale. Great draw. The flavors turns to tobacco with chocolaty undertones with a nice smooth cedar aftertaste.

Second third
Smooth chocolaty and coffee flavors with a peppery spice nose exhale. Excellent flavors. Medium to full in body.

Last third
The tobacco flavor really takes the lead near the end with a long smooth aftertaste. Hints of chocolate and coffee / espresso remain in the background. Deep and creamy mocha aftertaste.

Conclusion
The was a great short smoke. Deep and consistent flavors throughout with a great burn and draw. I would love to get a bundle of these tasty treats. Recommended!

I heard back from Mr. Falto...

"Well, as you may know availability is very limited but you can get them or inquire about them at the retailers that appear on the retailers section of my website (www.lagaritacigar.com). Best bets are the Davidoff stores in NYC (ask for Michael Herklots, who is the manager for both stores), www.zarkacigarlounge.com and Golden Leaf Cigars (Hobart Store). If you cannot get the cigars through these, please let me know, so that we can work something out"
