Any Runners Here?

Corporate relay in the Palm Beach Marathon was last Sunday. Four of us from my office took a leg and cumulatively ran the 26.2. My leg was 7 miles, and was third. After my 7 miles I was feeling good, so I ran the next leg to the real finish line 5.2 miles ahead, for a total of 12.2 miles.
That is real close to running a half marathon, which of course got me thinking about running the full 26.2 at some point. Just curious if there are any other marathoners in the asylum? :D

BTW, I'll get my wife to forward the picture of my pre-race meal the night before the run and post it here. :r

Seth... I always figured you to be much too intelligent to be a runner.

I have always said it doesn't take much sense to run somewhere... not do anything... and run back!!!;)

I love to bike....which led me to think about triathlons, which forced me to start running a bit.

I do not enjoy running, but I run a bit when training for a race(have only completed Sprint distance, though will probably jump to Olympic this Summer).

I think you should pick a marathon and start training....

LOL... ya got me on that one!!!

I do think that is pretty cool BTW!!! If you set you mind to it I am sure you can do it. The friends that I have that are serious runners say it is mostly mental after the midway point anyway.

I've been thinking about this too, I've been working swimming into my routine as that is my weak point. It's going well, and I'm enjoying it more as I become a better swimmer.

They must be slow up there....over here, they would catch you. ;)

Nice job!

I've been known to run a marathon from time to time.

Awesome! I ran my first 2 triathlons this last summer (planning more this year), and have been thinking about a half marathon and potentially a marathon in the fall. That feeling of competing in a race like that is so addictive! Keep it up and good luck!!!
