A curse on algore and his "global warming"

As per usual in the summer, I leave my windows open at night and run the attic fan. Well, right now, I'm sitting at my desk wearing a stocking cap and down jacket. It got down to 48 degrees last night and the wind is still blowing 30 mph.

It's finally up to 63 degrees in the house. (No, I wouldn't think about turning on the heat. That money is for cigars!) There was snow on the mountain this am. My backpacking buddy is up on the mountain with a couple of his Mississippi friend's for a 10 day adventure that I was thinking of going on until I checked the weather a few days ago. Rains/sleet/snow and high winds. They're all around 70 years old. They are also crazy (and it seems that I have turned into a real pansy over the last few years.)

Thanks, Dr. Gore.

Careful you are typing on the internet, and remember he invented it.

I understand what you are talking about. We are a few days away from breaking a 140 year old record by not having a 90+ day this month.

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Area had more days with highs in the 60's and 70's than 80+ in the month of July. That hasn't happened in years. My first year down here it seemed like we were closer to averaging 95 degrees in July. :hm

That is the norm for around here this time of year.

We have had a few storms that are unusual for this time of year, and the temps have stayed down lower than I can ever remember. I am not complaining just an observation.

I'm not complaining. This is the mildest summer since I moved south a few years ago and I find it tolerable.

They will just say it is the Global Warming that is causing the cooling. Doublespeak.

107 in Portland Oregon. My poor little AC is taking a beating. You boys from the south are probably going to laugh, but I gave up on a smoke at 9:30pm because it was too hot outside. (keep in mind the sun sets at 9pm here so 9:30 is still twighlight this far north).
