it might need fixin ...

An elderly woman went to her doctor. He inquired of anything was bothering her health wise. She blushed, lowered her voice and whispered that she had a very embarrassing problem but was almost to nervous to mention it.

"Please, let me help you," said the doctor.
"Well, you see I have a terrible problem with gas. Fortunately, it is both silent and odorless, in fact, I've let a few go just while sitting here with you. If anyone ever found out, I'd die of embarrassment."

Thinking about it for a while, the doctor prescribed a blue pill for her to take daily, telling her to come back in two weeks. Two weeks later, she was back in the office.

"Doctor, I am very upset with you and not at all happy."
"Why?" inquired the doctor.
"Well, those blue pills you gave me did nothing for my gas problem and in fact made it worse! They now smell terrible. I'd die from embarrassment if they weren't completely silent."

"Well," replied the doctor, "I see that we've fixed your sense of smell. We'll work on your hearing next."
