Your B/M Slang.

Ok who else smokes with a group who has their own 'sayings'. The more incorrect the better.

For us.

Cog-nack cigars. Hence the guy who came in and asked for them.
Co-RO-JOE- The term Corojo'd out.
Opus TENS- Someone did ask for them by that name.
French Cigars- La Flor de Oliva.
Domestics- Fun to throw this one around to the Reps who don't talk to the customers.

I've heard the Opus TEN one as well! The only other one that springs to mind is:

CAO - Heard some guy ask if they had any COW Americas in stock.

Camacho- Comancho
LFD Oscuro Especial- "The Oily Wrapper One"
Cigar Aficionado- Cigar A-fish-e-an-do
Avo- A-V-O (like CAO)
Tatuaje- Ta-too-a-jay
Jesus Fuego- "Jesus Fire" (OK... I started that one!)

For the longest time I thought it was Olivia. Then I actually took time to read the whole name and boy did I feel silly.

There are six B&M's that I visit here in town, so I get to hear a lot of the "I had a guy or woman come in here and ask for" stories. Here are a few.

1) All you sell in here is see-gars? You ain't got no smokes?

2) Where are them psychodelic see-gars? You know them ones with A-cid on them. I like them cause they taste good.

3) My husband wants me to pick up some of those Florida Olivo cigars for him.

4) Can you chew that pipe tobacco?

5) I want to buy some cigars for my husband, but I can't remember which ones he smokes. I think it starts with a R.
Cashier says, Rocky Patel?
No, she says.
Romeo y Julieta, says the cashier.
No, I think I'll call my son he'll know. She proceeds to use her cell phone.
She comes back up to the cashier and says, He said any of the R-turo Fuente's will do.

Re: Your B/M Slang.

I once heard a guy in my local B&M ask if they carried Donny Thomas cigars. I guess he was looking for Don Tomas. The owner said, no we no longer carry Donny Thomas cigars and sent him to a drug store to ask them if they carry the brand. LOL I nearly shared myself.:r

Re: Your B/M Slang.

My all time favorite mispronunciation of a cigar brand name has been Davidorf....I have heard TONS of people refer to that brand as Davidorf...not Davidoff...Of course there are the others....

Arturo FooAnte = Arturo Fuente
Padromo = Perdomo
Padron = Paydrone
Aneejoe = Anejo

All the others have been aforementioned so I will not repeat them again...

Well you have to admit it's easier to say Olivia than Oliva. It just flows more naturally. Unfortunately I even slip on it sometimes, just have to correct myself.

I have to keep mentally kicking myself to prevent saying it that way. It's weird how you get something "wired" like that and can't get rid of it.
Luckily, I haven't talked about a "Ciao" to any one who knew the difference..... :rolleyes:

I find myself using abbreviations from the forum. "do you have any rp's, boli's etc..."

Re: Your B/M Slang.

fuente = fu-enn-iees
padron = pad-rooon
