Most memorable voice

So what sticks out in your mind when you think of a movie you haven't seen in years? Is it the sweet ride the hero had, the type of gun the boss baddie used, the sweet mamacita hanging out in the garage, the all-American guy that swept the lady off her feet?

Well, for me it's sometimes the voice of a character that jumps out at me. It isn't necessarily the lead characters' voices either; it can be a minor character whose voice is memorable.

For a few examples:

1. Marlon Brando's voice in The Godfather: immediately recognizable even if the person doing the impersonation is terrible. That voice is forever linked to that character.

2. Vivien Leigh as Scarlett Ohara in Gone With The Wind: over-the-top, syrupy Southern Belle and at the same time endearing. Can't imagine the character and not hear her voice.

3. Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?: deep, sexy and sultry. If I ever met a woman in real life with a voice like that I'd probably get slapped by my wife for drooling!

So how about you guys? What memorable movie voices come to mind?

Also, choose the voice type that most does it for you in the poll above.

:ss

Re: Most memorable voice

Well you've kinda rigged your poll by asking a different question than your actual focus! Your focus seems to be what makes a voice memorable and interesting to listen to--but your poll asks which is most "attractive." Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) obviously has a very distinct delivery, but I can't call it attractive...

Edit: Re-read your last line, now I see the reason for the distinction. I'll add Rocky Balboa to the list of unmistakable voices.

And certain fellas might find C3PO's attractive - not that there's anything wrong with that. :D

Sam Elliott
"He was a lazy man, and the Dude was most certainly that. Quite possibly the laziest in Los Angeles county, which would place him high in the running for laziest in the world".
