I think it is funny that they even pushed that phone for business use without copy and paste features. Quite an oversight :r

Not really. The 3GS has the "capability", as does any iPhone with the 3.0 update but according to AT&T: "MMS support from AT&T coming in late summer."

I have downloaded the software, but I am unable to connect to the activation server to authenticate. This is teeing me off!!!:bh

What the hell?! that was the whole reason I finally bought one! It was advertised to have MMS support. That is sooo stupid not to have MMS or c/p. It's one of the best phones out there, and they couldn't include the most basic features?

I have the 3.0 update on my 16G 3G and:

Cut, Copy & Paste works
Landscape Keyboard works
MMS (not yet according to Apple)
Spotlight Search works
Voice Memos works
Enhanced Stocks App works
YouTube Login works
Sync Notes works
New Languages works (but unsure that if texting other than english to a non iPhone if they can see it.)
Shake to Shuffle works
Stereo Bluetooth (not tried yet)
Automatic Wi-Fi Login (funny. I thought mine already did that)
Internet Tethering (Tethering is not currently offered in the U.S. and some other countries. See your carrier for availability.)

For some reason, I can't connect my iPhone to my computer.

It charges fine (although it connects and disconnects about 10 times before it settles down), but iTunes won't detect it.

I would take it to ATT and see if they have any ideas. Sounds like a bad cable to me though or something wrong with the phone.

Open iTunes without the phone connected. Get the latest iTunes version if you dont already.
Then plug in your phone and try it.
