Domenico a Greek Cigar

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090308/...reece_cigars_1

I posted a link about an article that deals with a cigar company in Greece. It is called Domenico. Wanted to see if anyone has ever tried any of these? Most likely no one has because they don't produce many and from my searching don't think any online retailer carries these. My Dad is going to Greece next week and I told him to pick up some so I will post a review once I get them.

interesting, I'll keep an eye out for friends that might travel to Greece. I did know that there are longfillers produced in France, called Navarre, but Greek cigars, never heard of it.

Hey Christos,
never had one when I was back home.
I think I should definitely try it someday!

I'd be interesting to hear what they look and smoke like. Greece produces quite a quantity of cigarettes, but never heard of cigars from there.

Spyro, have you tried them yet?? I still haven't been able to get my hands on some. My family in Greece had no idea where to get them from

Hey Christo, there is an eshop in Greece where you can buy them. I am not sure whether I can provide the link so if you just follow the links on my previous photos you will find it!

First look and you have to admit, they're not the prettiest baby in the nursery.

But their Greek and I reckon so is Christos. I'm half Cuban and that was my original reason for wanting to try Cubans.

Did anyone ever get a hold of one of these? I am in Greece now, visiting family and I will be trying to make the trip to the factory tomorrow or Friday. I found out they have only been rolling these sticks since 2004, with no experience or teaching what-so-ever. That explains the not-so-pretty roll and wrap job.

I will try and get a review if I can get my hands on some.

I think that the CAO family dabbled in some Greek cigars some years back. Can anyone confirm this?

Ok, I was in Ommonia Square yesterday and picked up a box of these (robusto) and a couple of Cubans. I will let you all know what they taste like after I get back.

There is another cigar shop downtown that I am going to try and make it to on Monday. I am in Kaffissia and the factory is about 4 hours north. We shall see if it is doable Monday.

Gas here is about $9.00 per gallon, so going on a trip is expensive.

You have to post some pics if you go to the factory there :)

Have you visited any of the la casa del Habanos there?

Unfortunately, no. And due to the holiday, everything shut down on Friday and won't open until tomorrow morning and I am leaving at 11 am tomorrow. What a bummer.

I am going to have my wife try and go. Do you have an address of one in or near Athens?

One of the female soldiers I was stationed with was talking about something like it. Maybe the samething, the way she said it sounded funky. She is 100% greek. She was born and raised there. looking forward to the review.

Knip.
