This is why I always make my pancakes from scratch. That and they taste so much better that way. It's a dead simple recipe.

1 egg
3/4 cup of milk
1/4 stick of butter
3/4 cup of whole wheat flour (1 cup unbleached or white if you so desire)
2 tbsp sugar (I usually sub 2 tbsp honey for this)
2 tsp baking powder

Takes me about 2 minutes to whip up the batter, cooking time is the same, and no risk of toxic mold.

Me too! Ever since a very bad experience after eating at an IHOP in Omaha, NE when I was a kid. No details, it would be TMI.
