Wow. We'll be at -1 tomorrow. I can't even imagine what -40 would be like. Time to store a yard gar in the car w/ a lighter & a sleeping bag in case the car gets stranded. :ss

Lil dog is normally a pain. Gotta walk her 20-30 houses before she will.... well you know.

We go out a while ago... maybe 10 feet. She stops, goes, sprints for the door.

Its really cold in OH.

-20 right now here in southern MN. Will be a challenge to start the car in the morning as it's always colder at 5am. Tomorrow's forecast calling for a high of -5. Supposed to start warming up by Friday evening. Coldest I've seen here in many years. Glad I smoke inside this year.:)

I'm sitting in the mini-mancave, huddled around my heater and finishing up my Joya de Nicaragua. It's 8F outside (windchill -2F) and about 45F here in the cave. :ss

As soon as I finish, I'm heading in for the night!!!

High today is going to be -2*F, with a low of -14*F (real temperature).

Don't worry though, the cold snap is almost over. Friday we are up to a balmy 7*F. :)

A current Balmy -22F (-30 C) in the beautiful Twin Cities, kids!!!!! Bundle up and go out to the bus stop, because the superintendents of the 2 major school districts wouldn't call school off on the coldest day in 5 years.

If my kid got frostbite today, and had to have something amputated, I would be sure to call the stump "Insert Superintendants name here."
The one in St. Paul that my wife works for is from Alabama... I am pretty sure she doesn't "get" it.

This chick is going to be busy today answering a ton of angry phone calls.

Drove into work with a temp of -27F, radio said the wind chill was somewhere in the -45F to -50F range. Remote start = life saver!

Why would you want school canceled because of cold? As long as the furnace isn't total crap, I don't see the need.

you wouldn't think it makes a big difference and maybe being in it for a minute or two you wouldn't notice it but once it goes from -15 to 5 it will feel warmer :) (I hope this muddies things up) :r

I think if I lived in a climate like that I would be a raving alcoholic. I've got to be able to get outside and I just can't see wanting to be outside in that. I guess it's like anything else--you deal with it.

Hell, everybody wants to be here in the winter but when they're here in August-September they're crying about how hot and humid it is and saying no way I could live in this.
