Purchased new in December, 1974.

Still looks like the day I bought it. I've picked up a few more since then. :D

I've got a Saiga 7.62x39mm that I converted to a pistol grip. Was a bit of a pain following the code to make it compliant, but it sure is nice :) Cheapest way to a brand new AK-47 I think!

I've still got to make the mods to have it accept the normal AK clips, but it's on the plate.

I'll get some pictures of it and it's buddies up soon.

Thats not even right, one still has tags on it! Either you just went out and bought it for the picture or you use it as a paper weight. O' wait it may be gangsta style, dont they always leave the tags on hats and clothes while they use them! :ss

Is that Sig a P6? I just bought one of those a few months back, the finish on mine is crap though, and the gun is older than I am, but it ought to work fine. Been too damn busy to go to the range though ::mad:

On that note, anyone know what I could use to fix up a worn finish?

What do you guys think of the Bushnell 3200 Elite optics? Looks like a good value for the price according to what I've read. Anyone actually own one that can confirm that?

It's a Vector, got it 2 years ago.. It's built off a Polish kit. Though I did turn it a bit into a Mutt. with a new grip and the E. German Sling...

Question... I might be just a bit to new at this, how are you all posting your pictures nice and big. I can't get it to happen.

Anyone else stocking up on AR lowers in case that guy gets elected? I have 3 stripped lowers just in case.

funnymantrip 10-27-2008 11:05 AM

Re: First Firearm Thread.

I have 2 and my buddy has 2. We will build together. Problem as I see it is, if this guy gets elected.. and his past history, it will be a turn in by x date or it's a felony.

That will bring up quite the quandry.

I may have stocked up on some recently ;)

Hoping to make one into a nice 9mm AR, use uzi mags and have a nice cheap to shoot plinker.

I ain't turning mine in :)

I don't think the bill would pass if you had to turn them in. I believe they would be grandfathered in if they were manufactured by a certain date.

I agree with the above. Too bad I lost all my firearms in a boating accident... Only one little .22 plinker left.

On another note, I love the Kimber and h&k p0_rn. I'm looking into getting a Kimber Desert Warrior and h&k USP Compact within the next year.

After 27 years of being away from guns and shooting I am returning to my heritage.

Recently I visited a friend in North Carloina who's husband had passed away. She gifted me these guns:

Remington Model 11 (made in March 1940) This is not a pic I took:
http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...rfree2/107.jpg

And I was also gifted this Beretta Model 418 made in 1953:
http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...e2/beretta.jpg

Also while in North Carlina, my brother in-law brought his Smith & WEsson 9mm and gave me the opportunity to shoot a handgun for the first time in my life:
http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...ee2/NCGUN3.jpg

Looking forward to bringing guns and shooting back into my life!!! :D

I love those older firearms. Be careful, FFF, the firearm slope is a slippery one as well.

Yes... it is. That is where all of my cash has been flowing for the last couple years. And now that I have to replace them all after my boating accident it is even worse. Anyone know anything about the h&k USP Custom Tactical? That Flat Dark Earth finish has be drooling.

That and Kimbers. Although I'll probably just end up buying a Glock for my first CC handgun.
