I don't know the order but there are 4 cigars that are compatible with smoking on my porch in a New England winter;; Padron 1926 #6, Oliva Special S Corona, Oliva Serie O #4 and an Oliva Maduro Special G. All in stock and all ready.:ss

An '89 PSD4 was likely my last smoke of 2008 on Sunday. Haven't decided my first smoke of 2009 yet, but I will smoke it at the puck drop of ther NHL Winter Classic tomorrow, and it will be good.

Turns out my last of 08 was the Boli Simone I smoked on Christmas day lol. Oops. Have to see if I can hit a pair come NYD.

My last of '08 was a Taboo Twist...no smoke tonight. Will have to go through the "gift box" and find a special cigar to smoke for #1 in '09. Need good karma this year...

First ... probably a 06 Trini Coloniales ... really have enjoyed those with my morning coffee.

Last of 2008: I had a tasty little Habana Sancho Panza courtesy of Tech Ninja.
First of 2009: I've got a Punch Churchill from 1997 I might give a whirl. Or, I've also got some Ashton ESGs that have been sitting for about a year now. I might light one of those to see if they've come around yet.

Last cigars of 2008 were an Avo 77 and a 1970 Partagas 898.
First cigars of 2009 will be on new years day, an Avo LE05 and Boli Beli.

Sadly due to chapped lips cracking and becoming infected I have already had my last cigar of '08.....a week and a half ago. It was an Oliva G. My first smoke of '09 will probaly be a Warped Anubis

I think the last few years, my last cigar of the year carries over as the first cigar of the new year. Maybe a '97 Sancho Sancho this year.

My last cigar of 08 was a Hoyo Du Prince I smoked on Saturday evening, because I have been sick since Sunday Morning. I have no idea what my first smoke of 09 will be.

My last of '08 was probably the Hoyo de Monterrey Dark Sumatra I had last night.

First in '09 might be one of the sticks I picked up in a gourmet store this afternoon that's going out of business (cigars were 20% off today :ss). Could be a Camacho Corojo or LGC Serie R or CAO CX2.

We are going to a party in our community tonight and I can't decide what to take. I'm leaning toward a Boli CE. Tomorrow I am thinking I might just have to have a Lusi.

Don't know what I'll start the new year with as I probably won't smoke till tomorrow afternoon some time, but I finished the year with a good day of smokes. I started today with a Boli PC, followed that with a Boli GM and am gonna finish up with a '99 Le Hoyo Du Roi. Happy New Year all!

Last of '08 - Just fired up a Padron 40th Aniversary 1926 and poured a glass of Chivas Regal 12 year old Scotch whiskey on the rocks.

Have no idea how old the cigar is, the bands almost fall off by themselves :D

1/3 into the cigar and 1/2 way down with the first drink, the full bodied, smooth taste of the cigar is mellowed by the smooth, sweet almost like honey bite of the 86 proof 12 year Oak cask aged malt whiskey.

First of '09 - I have a selection of CC's I have been gifted and been holding out on. Mostly from fear I may like them and god knows I don't need that slope in my life :D

Last of 2008 was an 07 Parti Short. I decided to "celebrate" this year by driving along the old bus route I took when I was working my way through college, ten years ago. Interesting to see how much things had changed, and ponder how far I've come since then. Tossed the butt out the window in front of the building where I worked, as a sort of "parting gesture".

First of 2009...I'm leaning towards having a 1999 Punch RS12 with a friend tomorrow.

Last of 08 ended up being a Siglo III. Of course it was plugged like a biotch!!! First of 09 is still looking like it will be the Lusi if it warms up a bit. If not then it is wide open.

Last '08 would have been a RyJ Short Churchill, but was way to stressed about my daughter's first new year (and the fireworks that come with it).
So didn't smoke at all last night.

Tomorrow i will probably grab an Oliva "O" Robusto Maduro, which would then be my first '09.

So I managed to smoke a Man O' War pyramid. Should have gone with the Siglo 3. It just didn't do it for me. So I turfed it and lit up a cc Por Larranaga Panatella that is still a bit young, but that Cuban taste was there. Mmmmmm

I really should dig up something special to start the new year today.:ss
