Re: Mr. Robot

It is a new show out on the USA Network with Christian Slater. It is about computer geeks. It is a pretty good show so far. Check it out Scott.

Re: Mr. Robot

Nope, not a fan of computer geeks. Well, except all the ones here. :)

shilala 07-08-2015 01:43 PM

Re: Mr. Robot

If it's on USA, there's probably no boobs, right?

Re: Mr. Robot

Computer geeks are mostly boobs, right?

I checked this out, and it's on Hulu for free. I might check it out.

Re: Mr. Robot

From the site, MR. ROBOT follows Elliot (Rami Malek, “The Pacific”), a young programmer who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and as a vigilante hacker by night. Elliot finds himself at a crossroads when the mysterious leader (Christian Slater, “The Adderall Diaries”) of an underground hacker group recruits him to destroy the firm he is paid to protect. Compelled by his personal beliefs, Elliot struggles to resist the chance to take down the multinational CEOs he believes are running (and ruining) the world. The series also stars Portia Doubleday (“Her”), Carly Chaikin (“Suburgatory”) and Martin Wallström (“Simple Simon”).

And why? He'll take a nap halfway through the show and miss them anyway. :r

Re: Mr. Robot

Yeah, boobs or what?

I recognize Christian Slater's name, he used to be in movies, I think.
I do not know he wrote an Adderall book.

I always hope the boobs are in the first 10 minutes, Thomas.
I remember there was a movie where the guys were building a website that told exactly how far into a movie it was before the first boobs appeared.
The heck was that?

I have a hard time waiting 10 minutes on TV.

Re: Mr. Robot

Too many commercials in 10 minutes. I can't tell where the commercials end and where the show begins.

Boobs or no, this show sounds interesting to me, Kristin.

Re: Mr. Robot

So far i'm hooked. I'm a computer geek though so it's easy to follow. The first episode threw off my wife, she could not understand much about what first happened. They lost her.
However, if the letters CSI are in the name of the show, she will watch all day, everyday. Different interests, lol.

Re: Mr. Robot

They could have been a little more subtle with the sex scene in the last episode. Not something that needed to be seen. I'm sure eluding to what happened would have been enough. They almost lost me on that one.

Dr. Krieger had created a sex robot, aptly named Fister Roboto

Mr. Skin Anyone?

I am digging this show, an hour flies by that's how good it is I lose track of time.

I'm wondering if "Mr. Robot" is made up in Elliot's brain a la FIGHT CLUB

Streamed the first 2 episodes off Hulu today. Can't figure out yet if Elliot is supposed to be a good guy or a bad guy . . . but will decide about the same time he does. :r

Was so confused why the finale wasn't posted. Crazy coinicidence...

But seriously great show, great writing, great suspense, didn't really like the sidetrack story of the girl getting killed but the finale preview looks to have the main story back on track.

The finale was so mind blowing. There are a couple of things that I am completely lost about but looking forward to finding out next season. Need to watch the finale again.

Rami Malik is great in this. My wife met he and his brother a number of years ago and spent a fair amount of time with them.

I work in InfoSec so its really cool to see a show that I can relate to. They do a really great job too. Most of the "inaccuracies" are mostly due to time constraints. However, they use real tools and even if some of them are mispaced, it is impressive.

It all made sense when you think back through the episode, especially when he was in the alley and got jumped, I thought it was odd how they were going to rape him......I didn't see a reason for that, but at the end during the "reveal" I got that "a-ha" moment.
