Has anyone else read Sporting News picked the Cubs to win the WS this year? How can you predict this far out let alone pick the Cubs?! :r

Maybe the Sporting News heard that the Cubs cloned the 1968 Tigers? :)

Well the Cubs certainly improved with Lester in the rotation. But there's a lot unproven prospects needing mlb playing time.

If they didn't actually win any series in the playoffs the speculation here was he was going to be the first coach to be fired twice after taking teams to the playoffs. Nice guy but maybe not the best field general.

I am looking forward to this year. Right now, on paper, A's seem pretty decent with all the moves that went on in the off season. I'll be heading down for spring training so I can learn the team!

Nats make the NL east not fun. I mean come on who can compete with their starters?? Tigers aren't left with their d!ck in their hand though, they still have good starting pitching and a nice lineup to boot.

The NL East hasn't been fun for a long time. The Braves ruled for a decade+, then the Phillies had it tied up for a while, and now the Nats are ruling the roost.

Makes you wonder why anybody would be a Mets fan. :D

Cub nation in mourning today
Mr. Cub Ernie Banks passed away yesterday at the age of 83

It's a beautiful day for a ballgame... Let's play two!

Work? I never worked a day in my life. I always loved what I was doing, had a passion for it.

Not to worry anybody ...... as a Nats fan, have struggled through 2 early exits (Cards ad Giants) from the 1st round of the playoffs in the past couple years.

Hitting and rookie manager did us in!

Agreed rotation THE BEST, however as seen in the Giants playoff games, it only took some poor hitting and a rookie manager to send us packing once again :gary

Fixed it for you. I'm a Nats fan and trading Clippy away and adding Escobar just doesn't work for me.

Yeah, the Tigers has the best rotation (on paper) for a couple years, you see how many WS rings that got them. ;)

I am sure there is an outcome in these trades ( Sherzer, Clippard etc.) that have not yet become evident so I guess I have to trust that they are of sane mind. However I do not see how we ( Nats) have become a better team than last year?
