Aristocrat pictures
I think I have finally settled on the Aristocrat M; however, I am not totally sure that I won't need something bigger in the future. So that has me looking at the MXT as well.
Could any of you share some of your aristocrat pictures? I would love to see all sizes with some cigars in them! Any and all would be appreciated! |
Re: Aristocrat pictures
The MXT is a nice size, as that is the one that I have. I have the "middle" size that is between the two depths that Bob lists on his site. 2 boxes deep and plenty of airflow. Here are some pics of mine.

It shows 2 boxes deep quite well. A current pic would not show this nearly so clearly :tu http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/p...llwithroom.jpg |
Re: Aristocrat pictures
What an awesome looking humidor that is, Mark. Thanks for taking the time to post those. I'm envious of that set up. I believe the difference is $400 between a MXT and a M. $400 for double the storage isn't a bad deal.

Re: Aristocrat pictures
These pics are 5 years old, but give a good idea of the storage capabilites of the MXT-plus. Like Mark's, it goes two boxes deep. Pull out shelves are a must if you intend on filling it up.

Re: Aristocrat pictures
If you are already thinking you might need to go bigger, then GO BIGGER NOW! LOL I have the MXT and filled it up in no time... jam packed. I knew I wanted a bigger size but I didn't want a divorce.

Re: Aristocrat pictures
This is mine.
MXT Plus I would say go as big as your budget allows. I never thought I could ever come close to filling this. It's not full yet, but it's only a matter of time. I already have plans to get an additional M for long term storage. As others have said, pull out shelves are a must! http://i867.photobucket.com/albums/a...psbe60aeb0.jpg |
Re: Aristocrat pictures
The air conditioned models are quite loud.

Re: Aristocrat pictures
Plus 48 , pullouts are the way to go. I went with 3 shelves and one drawer , depending on how many singles you want to stock Bob can build them accordingly.

Re: Aristocrat pictures
Thanks to those who posted here. I am seriously looking at an Aristocrat and while aspiring to have a monster cabinet, looks like I will be going with the Plus 48, it's in my range and this really helped me get a feel for the physical size as well as capacity.

Re: Aristocrat pictures
I ran across some photos of my Plus 48 when I first received it from Bob. That was close to six years ago when I was still in Calif. It's survived a 300 mile trip across the desert since then, and still looks/runs like the day these were taken.

Re: Aristocrat pictures
Awesome pictures guys!! I aspire to this :tu

Re: Aristocrat pictures
If i were to do it again i would get another shelf as well. Stacking 5 or 6 boxes tall of all different boxes is a bit of a pain should.you want/need to get to the bottom of the stack..

Re: Aristocrat pictures
That's gorgeous Bill thanks for sharing.
Colin I was thinking 3 shelves with the pullout option and possible 2 drawers for singles, but I still have the winador full of drawers for singles to that remains to be seen. |
Re: Aristocrat pictures
Does anyone have one with the temperature control? If so, thoughts?
|
Re: Aristocrat pictures
I didnt get it. I kinda wish i did now.

Re: Aristocrat pictures
I have dual cooling units on mine. If you look at the photo I posted above, you can see them. They work extremely well.
I keep the temperature control set at 72. In the summer I keep the house at 78, so they cycle on and off. In the winter the house is kept at 72, so they never run. I had Bob install double units because at the time, we kept the house A/C off when we were at work or traveling and we lived/live in a desert environment. Even if the ambient temperature in the house was in the nineties, the cabinet had no trouble cooling to 72 with the dual units. Now I'm retired and home most of the time, so I keep the house cooler than I used to in the summer. I think I could get by with one cooling unit now, though the dual units really keep the cabinet cool without running all that much. And if we leave on vacation in the summer, turn off the A/C and it's 115 out, no matter how hot the house gets the cabinet can maintain a steady 72. |

Re: Aristocrat pictures
I ended up placing an order with Bob today.
I splurged and spent the extra money to purchase the MXT. Bob is great to work with and will cater to your needs. I went with the Dark red Mahogany, crown molding on top, 4 full extension drawers, set and forget humidification. I'm most excited about the "set and forget" humidification. I believe this is included on most of the models. Anyways, thanks to the guys that posted all of these pictures to make my decision much easier. :tu |

Has anyone had any trouble with delays before with Staebell?
Starting to get antsy but I know it'll be worth the wait. |

My original cabinet (MXT) took several weeks more than anticipated as it was very difficult to match enough cherry stock for my cabinet. So, no, I've never had problems with delays from Bob but I have experienced delays. |
Re: Aristocrat pictures
Mine was a few weeks longer than the original estimate, Jarrod, but anytime I e-mailed Bob about it, I would get a response same or next day. He communicated exactly what was going on, throughout the whole process, whenever I inquired.

Re: Aristocrat pictures
The quality of his work and communication should be met with patience.
Quality takes time. |
Re: Aristocrat pictures
Thanks for the answers, guys.
I'm not worried, but have been given three time frames and all have came and passed. In no way am I dissing Bob, but would have rather not been told "we will be finishing up x/xx". I'm sure some unforeseen stuff has come up. I understand that a quality piece takes a long time and there is no way to predict an exact date. I figured I'd reach out and see what others have experienced. In the end I guess all that really matters is the final piece. I just should've waited to order cigars before I had the storage. :r |

Re: Aristocrat pictures
I had an awful experience in regards to time frame and communication.
Originally told 6 - 8 weeks. After I was able to get him on the phone I was told "it should ship next week" 3 or 4 different times. I finally got it after 15 weeks and didn't receive notice that it was coming until the delivery company had it at the local warehouse. All that said, I'm just about ready to order a second one. The missed deadlines and lack of communication was frustrating, but worth it. Since I've had mine, his service has been perfect. When I get him on the phone, he answers all my questions, and walks me through any steps I need to take. |

Happy to say that the aristocrat is finished up and is headed to Oklahoma now! Bob said it looks fantastic and I can't wait to get it. Will put up pics as soon as I can. I'm sure it'll be worth the extra wait!!!

All gorgeous-lookin humis boys.....Congrats. |
Re: Aristocrat pictures
Guys,
Quick question.. How was the delivery? Does the delivery guy just drop it off in the driveway? I have a few steps leading up to my house and I'm afraid I won't be able to get it in myself. Wasn't sure if FedEx helps with that or if I should try to get a buddy to help me. Will be delivering it tomorrow afternoon! :tu |

Thanks guys.

Re: Aristocrat pictures
Well fellas, it has arrived and I couldn't be any more pleased with what I received. This is a top notch quality piece of art.
The wait was well worth it and I'm glad he took the extra time if he needed it. The set and forget humidification is awesome as well. It was packed outstanding! Everything gets a A++ from me and would highly recommend an aristocrat to anyone based off of my experience thus far. Here's just a few pics: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h3...psfc1fe954.jpg http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h3...ps157705b9.jpg http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h3...ps45f69ed0.jpg The wood matches the hardwood quite well; sorry for the terrible Iphone pictures. The pictures just don't quite do it justice. It's filled up with distilled water and ready to roll now. I suppose I'll let it season for a couple days or so and then transfer over the cigars. It's a big change going from a mini-fridge to this. :tu |
Re: Aristocrat pictures
Beautiful, Jarrod.....you'll never regret it. ;)
