Call of Duty: Ghosts

Anybody playing this COD? I just picked it up with a giftcard, didn't plan on getting anymore CODs. Gotta say this one is pretty badass so far.
I love the slide feature, it feels very organic. Some very cool game types as well. No CTF is a bummer but some other options are really cool.
I like that you can purchase a weapon instead of only unlocking it at a certain rank.
Still getting used to the weapons and maps.
Still a lot of things I haven't figured out but I am tempted to say this might be the best COD yet.

Gamertag has changed because I lost access to my previous account: LEATHER SMYTH

They made a huge deal about the dogs in this game. Thought it was going to be lame, but they are actually very cool.

I play and really like it as well except quick scoping is way too easy, and the dog is way too over powered from the front. The slide is cool and the fact that some of the maps change towards the end of the round if it goes full time. I'm not very good but still really enjoy the game. dijit64 on x-box

My K/D is crap but love playing this version. Agree about quick scoping and if your too close you can't stop the dogs. I too was on the fence about getting it but glad I did. Im on the x-box under Mahaviro

What guns and gametypes do you guys like the most?

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts

the honey badger is good for an assault rifle I have tried most of the other assault rifles and still havent decided which I like better. The snipers are well snipers most are deadly with one shot and accurate. the rifle class is interesting and fun too.

Am looking forward to the MK14, that was one of my favorite COD guns.

As far as game types I have played all but FFA? and like them all.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts

I play Domination pretty exclusively though I will change it up every now and then. I use the Honey badger and the AK most followed by the Vector then the L115 when sniping. i've not used any of the marksman rifles so have no idea about them.

Blak Smyth 12-11-2013 06:51 AM

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts

So I tried the MK14 last night and wasn't really feeling it.
Bought the IA-2, put the iron sights on it and love it.
L115 with a silencer was my sniper rifle on the castle map, love that map. Reminds me of a W@W map.

Like all other COD's, I suck at it, yet I still buy them. I'll keep playing and keep sucking, I just don't get addicted like I used to, I might only play it an hour or two a week if I need to clear my head a little after work

not sure what is up with the story mode my son just showed me the end of the game and on steam it says 4 hours played.......

Blak Smyth 12-12-2013 06:18 AM

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts

Wow played some more mulitplayer last night and did terrible, except with the sniper.
The L115 sniper with a silencer is very nice. Everthing else I sucked with. I always suck when I first start a new COD though so I am not too discouraged. I am having fun and that is kind of important.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts

I am not addicted to the game like I have been in years past. I suck at the game. I just can't play it for very long because I don't have all the perks and equipment unlocked yet. I am also having trouble learning the maps. If I would just stick around and get some squad points I could be decent.

Just play wargame in squad match. It's easy, you learn the maps and earn COD points you can use in multiplayer without getting destroyed by humans.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts

So I was using the AK-12 and struggled until I put on the extended mags and slide of hand and then I was doing really well. Best game in TDM last night was 24-4 but had a few games in a row pretty close to that. If I can keep this pace I will be fine in this game. I have a habit of reloading after every kill and I kept dying while reloading, slide of hand has helped me tremendously.

I think I may need to try the AK and I too think the castle map is great. One of the best sniper maps I have played.

I love the castle because it covers all types of players. You can snipe (tell us something we don't know) it also can be used to run and gun in the ruins. I love this map. On tremor I love to hold down the burning build. Drivers MFs crazy

I bought two 4-packs of monster soda the other day and each one came with a "Call of Duty Ghosts Digital Care Package" code. I'm not exactly sure what they do as I don't game, but if anyone wants them, shoot me a PM and I'll send them to you.

First you have to start or join a clan of three or more people.
Then there are four day periods that "Clan Wars" take place.
You are matched up against 7 other similar clans to compete for the four days.
The goal is to win as many gametypes (Called "Nodes") as possible and keep them at the end of the four days. A gametype will be listed with an amount of wins required to capture the node. For example TDM might be 250 wins to capture. Once a clan gets 250 wins that node is captured and the remaining 7 teams must try to take it away from you. If you have 6 clan members playing in a game and you win, you get 6 wins. One win for each clan member. It is complicated but adds another dimension to the game.
Me and my close friends competed in a clan war with a 60+ person clan (IPC - I play COD) a week ago and since it is a large clan with a bunch of people who didn't even play, we finished 5th out of 8. I am in a small clan now, with a bunch of active players, hopefully we have a better outcome.

I am mentally exhausted after trying to explain this...

Definitely like this one better then BOII, but maybe that is because it is more friendly for campers with the perks. Got it yesterday, so I have only played for an hour or so.

My new smaller clan just completed our first war. We led in first place the entire war until the last day while we were at work. We ended up second place in the platinum devision.

I know I'm late to the party here, but this is the best campaign in a CoD game in a long time!

We finished in first place in platinum last war. Hoping for a first place again after this war so we will get a diamond invitation

That's awesome. My clan started out with 8 guys. Know we have 23 and the only guys who try to win the claim war are the ones who started the clan. Thank about frustrating. The frist two clan wars we partook in we took 1st in both. This last one with the player who played in the war to no playing mfers. We took fourth. I think it might be time to loose some slackers

We finished first place with almost 900 cp points this last war, and now we have our Diamond invite. There are 17 in our clan and we are looking to downsize. Our previous clan had 75 people in it, everybody that was active enough joined the clan I am now in.

Congrats on the diamond invite. I've never done clan work other than helping you a few times (well I didn't really help in BO2). I quite a bit better in Ghosts yet no where near as good as I should be.

I use a honey badger and like to lay down outside the castle wall looking down the long row. I have 2 ea of the motion sensors and IED's and will place them at the bottom of the steps to kill/warn me of those coming at my back.
