Blackhawks V. Bruins, round 2 in June....discuss. :)

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Both teams will be in the hunt that's for sure :D
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
AVS!!! Playoffs would be a step forward and I'm calling my shot, Avs in!
I thing Roy is going to bring some toughness to a team that has lacked an edge for years. |

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Go Wings!!! Love to see our young guys take that next step this year.
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
kessel deserves 10 games...5 for attacking with his stick and 5 for being a coward and attacking with his stick while the other guy was busy fighting a real hockey player(or two).
being he plays for Toronto...3 games(maybe). derrek |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
What about Kassian for breaking Gagner's jaw, D?
I thought the Oilers looked pretty good against the Ca****s the other night. :2 |

Gilbert is gone, Ballard is in. Should be in the playoffs again. Just wish we would get rid of Backstrom. |

Reckless, but not sure it was intentional. Oilers will definitely miss Gagner more than Vancouver will miss Kassian.

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Sharks second round flame out as usual.
Ooooooh and Red Wings still suck. |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Looking for a respectable Flyers' season ending with a playoff appearance. Hoping they do something once there.

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
That was fun last night, getting to watch NHL games again..... My wife was not as happy....
Avs tonight! |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
It's early and I'm still catching up on DVR... But love the way the Avs are playing and MacKinnon can FLY! Varlamov looks great, which is better than looking good....
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Nice win... Hope MacKinnon is okay... LOVE Roy's fire!!!! This is going to be fun...
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Great performance by the Avs, they looked great, E.J.
To each is own though....to me, Roy's fire is a liitle dab of douchiness. :r |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
My boy Datyuk Highlight Reel got his point. Let's go Wings

That said, the Avs need(ed) toughness and he's not going to skate a soft team. Top down.... |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Hoping the Avs stay in the mix this season, they're a fun young team to watch. :tu
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
The Avs looked great last night! In case anyone did not see, there was a knee on knee hit to MacKinnon and with a few seconds left in the game, the Ducks sent out their 4th line so to me I think Roy's response was to those incidents and I don't blame him for getting upset on a hit to one of his players. Love him or hate him Roy does have a certain style all his own and I like his passion which was so badly needed for this team *cough* Sacco *cough* :2

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
It feels kind of weird for me to watch Flyers games...I'm only watching because I have a huge mancrush of Vincent Lecavalier (followed him from CA to draft to Tampa). I am probably his number #1.
...go Fly...ers??? I feel so dirty... |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
I feel ya, Marc, I am rooting for Ray Emery to have a good season, and for Scott Hartnell to get lupus. ;)
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Landeskog sitting against Nashville tonight, leg injury and listed as "day to day".....
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Varlamov playing well. Nice win!
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Big start for Craig Anderson last night! :tu

As for Hartnell, I'll admit he can, at times, come across as an asshat, but he plays the agitator roll well while playing a productive game. Reports are he came into the season in way better shape than any year prior (something like 7% lower body fat % than ever before), so I'm hoping that translates into a more consistent year. |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
I'm sure I would love Hartnell is he was in Red and White, Joel. Regardless, I am hoping Emery has a big year, he deserves it.
Let's Go Hawks! |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Avs are 3-0 with their win in Toronto. MacKinnon has 4 points(all assists) in his first 3 NHL games.

Looking forward to a good season.
Let's go Bruins. First two games they looked pretty good but they still need to work out the kinks. Hockey! Steak and Eggs!!! |

Flyers finally win a game... albeit with their second coach in four games. I'm glad the organization had the balls to make the coaching change so early, because if they let it get to 10 or 12 games and things didn't change, it would have been a deep hole to start the season. Tough times for Peter Laviolette... fired by the Flyers and having a dispute with BoA. LINK Part of me wonders if the distraction of the latter didn't ultimately cause the former. (Lawsuit filed just two weeks ago). |
