Small fast n cheap?
 

Putting a bit of an order into the monster for christmas and need some suggestions. Looking for about a half hour smoke thats full of flavor and cheap. I know some of you are out there smoking some yummy delights I gotta try. Not wanting to spend a bunch either, so MUWATs are out of the question :(

I prefer the J Fuego Sangre de Toro Originals. Same size just a bit spicier. $94/12 five packs at Atlantic. :tu

I buy mine at the B&M and really haven't shopped for the best price available. The CYAP price above is a good price on these.

I haven't had these, but I'll keep my eyes open and grab a pack if I see them.

There is also a third one in the "originals" vitola, the Gran Reserva Corojo No.1. I'd put it at a solid medium, making it milder than the other two. It's also a bit more complex than the other two. Pricing is about the same, around $95 for 12 five packs.

MUWAT Baitfish have been up on the monster off and on for a week at $98 for a brick (25) and if you use the $10 or $20 off coupon that makes them a steal. Bricks are $135-$150 most places. It's a great winter smoke!

And even a fourth. Wish I could recall the blend - prob nat or maduro. I've only seen it at one B&M and forgot to pick them up. Its a long ways out of my way, but next time I'm there, I'll grab a pack and report back.

As to the orig three, I prefer the Origen to the others. I love the Origen 'in-your-face-start-to-finish' that the GRC#1 just doesn't have. I don't pick up the compexity you refer to.

I know there's a lot of RP-negativity to be found here....but...I still like the Edge Corojo. The devil site puts of Edge Corojo Mini Beli Seconds in 15-packs. I grab these at $22, put 'em down for 6-month nap and enjoy the hell out of them when I dig them out. These:

I look at the three blends that I'm familiar with in that size and what I see is that each of them has something different to offer, I don't really have a preference of one over the others.

I picked up a cab of 30 DPG blue Demitasse on the devil site recently for $60. These are great little smokes, about 30 minutes start to finish.

I smoke a lot of the smaller smokes and have tried all the Fuego choices. These are my favs, but you can't go wrong with any of the Fuegos.

Also, the CAO LX2 petite coronas and Bams are a nice change of pace.

It's a size that's available in the Vintage 1990 and 1992 lines (from what I've seen so far).
