Cigars and your Significant Other

So, I was dating someone for a while that was lukewarm to the hobby at best and so she got the boot! (Just kidding, it was time to move on for myriad reasons -(P).

How does your significant other view your hobby(addiction might be an even better adjective for some :D)?

My wife bought me my first box of cigars... little did she know it was a shove down the slope.

Ouch! I'd have a 50/50 shot of getting a brush your teeth/use some mouthwash response, but if she had enough wine :noon

I don't really get online from home. She knows about it, but not the full extent of it. She despises cigars though.
She doesn't mind me getting outside for a while though, it's the only time I am not anoying her.

My lady supports my cigar hobby and contributes regularly to it. She has been known to enjoy the occasional cigar herself.

My wife puts up with it, she uses the "how much did you spend on cigars now.." to justify buying new clothes/fabric for making clothes but she does get exasperated

Michelle is not a fan of my smoking cigars.

I think she prefers it to my previous tobacco use, Copenhagen and cigarettes.

My wife: smoking is fine for the most part, however if I have to many packages showing up at one time, she starts to break my Balz.

My wife supports it 100%. She likes to try my cigars and smokes one occasionally. She gets a kick out of how excited I get about it. :)

I am always walking the fine line balance of divorce and happily married. If I can sneak packages in undetected then we are good. If she finds one and I don't have an excuse ready, it's trouble on The Wood.

My wife hates it, but she smokes cigarettes and I hate that so......, but like some others have said on here, I have to shower and brush my fangs and sanitize the mouth if I want some, sometimes I will skip smoking just to get some :ss :xxx she also says the same thing when I drink too so whatever lol.

My ex-wife is not with me anymore.

So, would you say it's mostly a money/spending/hoarding issue or the actual smoking issue that causes friction?

But that's just common courtesy, not to mention common sense. An ashtray doesn't smell good, no matter what cigar you smoked.

I once had a GF who smoked with me at the clubs we frequented; I always thought it was sexy as hell, until one night when we got home and were overcome by passion and didn't clean up a bit first; and when I kissed her it was like "Oh, hey, grandpa! Didn't know you were back from the dead!"

My wife doesn't mind, heck she even let's me have te spare room for my cigar rolling. She has had the occasional cigar like a Java or acid.

She just doesn't like me buying cigars... And now that I have hit the slippery slope everything is shipped to my parents house.

My wife is fine with it, although she worries a little about potential health risks. But she used to worry about my motorcycles too.

Of course she usually gives me a hard time if she sees a package arrive, just because she hates to miss taking advantage of a good opportunity. So I just make sure she doesn't see packages arrive. :D

Re: Cigars and your Significant Other

My wife supports my habbit/hobby but does not like the smell on me. The smell of cigars being smoked does not bother her, it's the breath and the smell of the clothes after.

My wife is pretty good about it but occasionally I get a text or talk after she checks the bank statement. "STOP BUYING CIGARS FOR A WHILE" I get. So now I have a personal checking account for my play money.:noon

It seems that most have a method, luckily I am home first (90% of the time) and can put everything away quickly. Just gotta get lucky and have no packages arrive on those 10% days.
