Of course, it was kind of a pain having to keep all those around. You'd lose 'em, sometimes break 'em. I finally upgraded to one of these. A marvel of technology at the time.

Yes on all accounts. I remember when they started making those balls they were clear and looked like glass. I wonder if you can get the anymore? Hell, I don't even know what they were called, for real. I know what we called them, but I'm not sure it was the real name.

I have all three. First is my BIL's but stored at my place. Second, I have a full set, and third I think we got rid of thanks to too many getting lost/vacuumed.

Know them ALL. The second pix (balls on the string - NOT the official name, which was C_ _ C _ _ _ S. They went off the marker because of the injuries from using them, and from them cracking apart in use, and causing injuries and damages. They were real beasts in terms of injuries caused!! I think I still have an Atari switch somewhere!!

Shane David.... I also had a 69 Chevelle (SS street-rod) for about 8 years, so I got to stomp that button many, many times! Which was a little more involved when I had a 4-speed in it.
