For anyone who hasn't tried it. It has a huge listing of cigars you can add to your humidor to keep track of your inventory. Reviews, Pricing, Shop Locators, Cigar News, Top 10. etc. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...igarboss&hl=en

Re: Cigar Boss App

I have had it for about a month now give or take and to be honest I don't really use it so much, I'm not to impressed but then again it might just be me, like I said I don't use it as much as I should.

Re: Cigar Boss App

I can tell it will benefit me because when I walk in my B&M I never know what I want to try. This will certainly help me.

Had Cigar Boss for about 2 months. On the last app update, I lost all of my inventory in "My Humidor." Contacted the site and they knew it would happen but there was nothing that could be done to get the humidor list back. I haven't had the energy to re-list all of my cigars and would be concerned that the same thing would happen with the next update. Going to look at other apps instead.

Just installed it. I've been waiting for a free app to play around with.

I had it for awhile but it kept crashing for me (maybe cause I'm jailbroken?) other than that when it would work its a heck of an App.

Re: Cigar Boss App

I like it. It has some useful info and links to a few reviews of each cigar to tickle my fancy with. When I first dl'd it, it did crash. I unistalled it, the redownladed it and havent had a problem yet with it on my Galaxy 1.

I just with I could modify my tweet that it sends out when Im smoking a cigar.

I was wondering what happened to "my humidor" that makes sense, thanks

I have an Excel spreadsheet with 3-4 tabs of personal stick data, including a wish list and I just keep it on my SkyDrive. Whenever I need the info I just pull it up on my phone and I can modify the spreadsheet on any computer or the phone whenever I feel like it. Works well for Home Depot and grocery lists too.

I'm happy with Mobile Stogie Pro. I just have to get around to cataloguing everything... so I know how many thousands of sticks I have on hand.

Re: Cigar Boss App

So I was playing around with this app today at lunch. Is it me or that free version you can't load your humidor into the app and you can't put notes in either?
I'm cheap, rather spend my $$$ on cigars and gas for the car rather than apps.

Re: Cigar Boss App

I'm trying Cigar Boss for Android right now. I was able to add a cigar to my humidor, but unable to create more than one humidor (didn't try too hard :) ).

FYI I noticed on his blog that an update today will fix the problem people had where an update to the app would wipe out their humidors, notes, etc. Of course, today's update is going to wipe them out again but that should be the last time. I wish him the best but I'm glad I've only put one cigar in my humidor so far.

chachee52 06-01-2012 07:04 PM

Re: Cigar Boss App

Nope, still nothing! Uninstalled it and re-installed it, but still unable to edit my humidor or write notes.
I'm wondering if it's because it's the free addition?

Re: Cigar Boss App

Evernote is still the best thing I've found. Tried several of the cigar app's and there is always something about each one that I don't like. With Evernote, I can make it my own. Granted there is no cigar links or info to be had, but I want strictly an inventory/note taking app.

I'm still not having any trouble *knock on wood*

Re: Cigar Boss App

So I was just about to re-post that it still doesn't work when I was fooling around with the "New Cigar" feature and noticed that there's a button to add to humidor. I was trying to type the cigars in because the list doesn't have a lot of the cigars that I like/have.
I will have to play around with it more, but if it doesn't list the cigars that I like then I can't keep track of what I have.
Would be better if you can add your own in.

Re: Cigar Boss App

Well, I downloaded the newest update for Cigar Boss and "My Humidor" list came back. I was very tempted to delete the app and try a different one. Something told me that maybe the next update would restore the list of cigars and it did. I still have to recount my cigars because I smoked several since the list was gone but much less work than having to formulate the list all over again. Maybe the folks over at Cigar Boss read the posts on this forum?? If they do, a big thank-you.

Re: Cigar Boss App

I started to add my cigars to My Humidor and found that I have a few cigars that aren't listed, the ones off the top of my head are a Taboo (that I got at last years NERF), I have a bunch of 7-20-4s, and El Original. I only had time to do about 1/4 of my cigars so far, hopefully the rest will be in there.

Hey Hey! I just checked and yep My Humi is back :noon:noon:banger

Another feature I really like is being able to post via twitter and and posting a pic at the same time from the app :tu

Yes, THANK YOU!

Re: Cigar Boss App

Not all cigars are listed but I bet it had over 80%. The ones that weren't listed on mine were the ones that were locally made. But you can add these manually with all information about the cigar that you care to include.

I have an iPhone and this is how my version works. Hit the brands icon on the home page. In the upper right hand corner of the brands page is a (+) sign. Hit that and a page comes up where you can add the information about any cigar that isn't listed. Hope this helps.

I have had it for a few months. I actually don't use the humidor feature to track my cigars. I use it to make a shopping list/wish list. As I get one off my list, I just delete it from the humidor.

I know I'm late on this but I need to vent! I didn't mind it being slow at first but now I never even know if will open or not! :bh I did kind of like this app but now I'm just pissed at it! It has been trying to load for the last 20 minutes and this is the 4th time I tried using it today. I've unistalled and reinstalled a few time with no success. Has anyone paid for this one? Is the paid version better? Any other decent cigar apps out there for Android? I like something that I can look up the cigar I'm smoking to see what I'm in store for. Also I'd like to then rate the cigars I smoked. I did like the My Humidor feature too. Is it too much to ask for?

Re: Cigar Boss App

I too, have recently been having a lot of problems with this app on my iphone. For some reason 95% of the time when I go to look up a stick i'm trying it locks up. Or sometimes the app doesn't even load at all to begin with. I tried updating it (which is another pain in the ass as I feel like it needs an update every week) and it still locks up. So I rarely use it anymore. At least the price was right.

I had that app for a while, but it never updated any of the data inside. The featured cigar was always the same, etc...
