Only Cigars For Me.

Re: Cigars & cigarettes
Cigars for me too -- in fact I don't really care to be around cigarettes...
|
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
I absolutely hate when people smoke cigarettes around me. Cigarettes are like little sticks of death, that's it.
Cigars are beautiful, hand rolled pieces of enjoyment |
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
I would finish a cigar and still go for a cigarette right afterwards due to addiction.
Right now I'm quitting smoking cigarettes. |
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
Does anyone hang their toilet paper so that it comes under? Everyone seems to think that is strange, and that over the top is the only way to go. Your thoughts?
|
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
I'm a big "hang under" guy, Tom. Grace and I squabble about it relentlessly.

Re: Cigars & cigarettes
I quit smoking cigarettes 4 years ago. It took me a long time to feel confident about smoking a cigar without wanting to go back to cigs. Back when I used to smoke them though,a cigar wouldn't satisfy the nicotine cravings and I would always need one after the cigar.

Re: Cigars & cigarettes
That is awsome, if you go back to my first or second post when I first joined, you will notice I used the same description of cigs and C"GARS little sticks of death and all the work that goes into making a cigar all the craft/time/love
AWSOME |

MY VOTE OVER |
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
I quit cigarettes years ago, although I have smoked a few in the ensuing years. I always smoked Spirits, so no chemicals for me other than what God intended. I hate few things in life, but one of them is being around cigarette smoke from Marlboros, etc. It's the shrill, dissonant whistle to the chamber orchestra of a good cigar.
Oh, and...over. |

Back when I smoked cigs and cigars, I hung the TP under. After quitting cigs, I started hanging the TP over.

My butt itches. Maybe it's cause I do it over, not under.

Re: Cigars & cigarettes
Quit cigs after 25 years. I only smoke cigars now. Its nice to have control over it also.
|
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
Normally, it's just over, but I botched the last installation and it wound up under. I regret it every time I use it.
I quit cigarettes 13 months ago, and now I'm awaiting my cigar deliveries. I'm not going back to cigs, but I figure it'll be a pleasure starting cigars. |

Re: Cigars & cigarettes
I don't smoke cigs, used to a long time ago. But I do use smokeless tobacco for the last 30 years or so.
|
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
Usually over. Sometimes I just set the roll on the back of the toilet.
|
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
I smoked cigs and cigars for 20 years, weed for 30. Cigars are a totally different animal, it's been proven to me.
but one never quits cigs for a wife, a girlfriend, a mother...only for oneself. I gave up my dearest friend in the world, WEED, because cigarettes were KILLING ME. I tried to quit a thousand times, could never make it stick, because I would not give up the left handed cigarettes. Once I realized I had to give up both to save my life (for however long I have) it was as easy as anything I have ever faced. I was short of breath and easily fatigued. That is now permanent. But I can control the severity by staying active and giving up the cigs. Make no mistake, everyone who smokes will pay the piper one day. There is no getting around that fact. When the fear outweighs the "pleasure", it will fall into place for those having trouble. |

Re: Cigars & cigarettes
Never smoked anything till I had my first cigar in 2010 on my brothers raft trip. Cigarette smoke always gave me a migraine headache just being in a room with it. If I stayed too long I would puke... figure that was a good reason to never take it up.

My wife made me choose between hanging the tp under or her...sometimes you just have to compromise.

I don't smoke cigarettes often; I've probably had less than a pack my entire life. Other than cigars, I smoke hookah (with tobacco, not the other stuff!).
|
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
Cigars only for me.
|
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
i enjoy both cigarettes and cigars....i wish i didn't smoke cigarettes but i've been around it my whole life.
like i said in the other post about this: cigarettes=habit, cigars=hobby but, if it burns...smoke it. |
Re: Cigars & cigarettes
Smoked cigs throughout college and off and on after that for about 6 yrs. I would bum smokes throughout most of those 6 yrs since I had told myself that I had quit, but in social occasions, or when drinking, or when a buddy offered one I would oblige. The wife didn't approve so I wouldn't smoke at the house or even have a pack on me.
Since moving to Houston last year and taking up cigars seriously I no longer have a desire for a cig. The smell is even off putting for me. Have I kicked it or simply substituted for cigars? I don't know, but I am not too worried about it. And, over. It's also the subject of serious debate in the house. I think my wife puts it under to annoy me. |
