Alec Bradley sticks
Are they good any good?
I was gonna try for a sampler sometime. http://img.cigarbid.com/p/500/sp/h/sp-hsbasst3.jpg |
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
I love the Family Blends, the SCRs are a nice change of pace, the Tempus Maddies are fantastic, the Prensados aren't bad but have a tight draw, and I haven't had the other one in that sampler
|
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
I like the Tempus and the Prensado. Not a fan of the others. I haven't noticed bad draws from Prensado,
|
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
The Family Blend wasn't bad, kinda mild from what I remember.
The Prensado was cA's #1 for 2011, with much controversy. I have one I am planning to try soon. |
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
I'm a fan of the Prensado and the Tempus maduro. The Prensado should not have been the #1 cigar of '11; however, I think it is a very good smoke and deserves to be in the top 25.

Re: Alec Bradley sticks
Go for it Josh, I have not had a bad AB yet, and I have heard their 2nds are also pretty good.
|
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
I dig the regular & maduro Tempus. Sun Growns are very tasty too. :dr :dr

Re: Alec Bradley sticks
They carry the plague. You shouldn't even look at the ads.
How about smoking the cigar and finding out if you like it, or not? I'm not inside your head. |
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
You really need to try them in order to get your answer.
On paper, I should LOVE the Tempus and I don't care for it at all You gotta give them a go to know |

There are a few AB's that I really like and there are also a few I don't like too. ;) |

The only ones I really like or would smoke are the AB Black Market...

The majority of cigar smokers wont smoke infused/flavored cigars, But you still buy them and smoke them right? you know you like them because you have tried them. Thats the way it should be! If we don't try something on a couple bad reviews eventually you will never try anything. Hell I smoked a Ron Mexico the other day and kinda liked it!. GO FOR IT!!!!!! |

Re: Alec Bradley sticks
I've enjoyed the Tempus lancero in the past and smoked a Tempus Centuria (churchill) on Sunday that had been laying around for a few years that tasted just like chocolate to me. Kind of one-dimensional and didn't change much, but hey, what's wrong with a little chocolate smoke for about 2 hours.

If I would have posted asking who likes Gurkha cigars, 90% of the ppl would have said they are trash. I would be far less apt to spend the money and try them. I know everyone likes something different but if most like them or say they are worth trying, then it may be worth spending the money to try them. I do get something out of this. |
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
I liked most of them.
But, try them a let us know what you think. |

Then I have had others where I liked them and the whole board was against them. It just depends way to much on your taste. You can see who enjoyed smoking them.. Maybe that was a better question to ask.. Instead of are these good. |

Looking at the Best, Worst, GoTo thread, I see 4 different guys "Worst" that are among my all time favorites |
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
Josh I like the overtures they they are a good medium body smoke. I usually have them after a meal, little heavy for me on an empty stomach.
|
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
I've always thought most ABs are pretty decent, although I've found most are pretty one-dimensional. The Tempus maduro is probably my favorite.
Only way to find out it to try some! |
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
I know this is kind of late. I recieved a Tempus in a trade and loved it.
|
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
The tempus and prensado are two of my favorite smokes..I would definitely try them, you will be glad you did!
|
Re: Alec Bradley sticks
On the cheaper side of AB I liked The Spirit of Cuba Habano... great mild stick for around $3, if not the most interesting ever. The Robusto lasted me around 30 min during a lunch break a couple of weeks back. The Corojo and Natural are on my list to try if I come across them locally.

Re: Alec Bradley sticks
I had a Tempus Medius a few weeks ago. Very enjoyable smoke. Nice burn, not a very complex smoke imo, but very tasty. :)
