Brickhouse

Found a sampler at the local PX here and am giving them a shot. Anyone tried these?

Yup. Good, solid sticks. A Fuente product by way of JC Newman. Enjoy!

Great stick for the price point. I have smoked a few, some where good, some where okay. I know they have a growing following now of loyal smokers.

Very nice sticks -- I am sure that you will enjoy them.

Cool, forgot to mention, under $20 for the set. I am looking forward to trying them out.

It is a cool little book!
Let us know your thoughts when you burn one.

This is my favorite cigar. I rather have this cigar for $5 than any Tat for $10

Re: Brickhouse

I've heard nothing but good things. Personally, I don't care for them, but that's based on a couple large ring sticks I tried. I have a few lancero/panatela size that will probably suit me a lot better, I'm looking forward to giving them another go. :tu

Great smokes at an even greater price!

Gotta try one of these.

I bought a box recently. Most of the ones I've had (pre-box) were good. The mediocre ones weren't even bad, just too mild, which is better than too bitter.

Yeah, bought a ten pack, not bad, I think you'll like 'em.

Good solid stick, especially for the $$.

Brick House cigars are actually made in Nicaragua by someone else. Fuente has nothing to do with them.

Re: Brickhouse

Great stick for the price...much better than most $8-$10 smokes. The couple I have had were well contructed, smoked well and hit the spot.

Re: Brickhouse

Ok, just finished the Brickhouse Robusto from the sampler. It was a very enjoyable smoke that burned well. Only issue I had was at the beginning, I prefer a punch and it would not punch correctly so I cut it. Not a big deal and most likely just a fluke, did not take away from the smoking experience.

I thought that JC Newman was a Fuente subsidiary. :sh

I see what you mean, I thought you meant who made the cigar and where it was rolled.

I have gone through several boxes with a few friends. I cant agree enough on the quality vs price point argument - solid sticks. I have been told as well that they are a Fuente subsidiary.

The Fuente Rep that came into our store was running a special on them.. I would assume they have something to do with them..

NVM, I guess it helps to read all the posts.

I recant my statement of never having a bitter Brick House. In the 5 or 6 that I've smoked, I had my first bitter one today. Robusto.

The Fuentes and the Newmans share sales reps and have a few other ties, but are two separate companies.

I stopped by my local B&M today to pick up some goodies and had to grab myself a Brickhouse to try out here in the next couple weeks. I am looking forward to it.

Gotta agree with Travis on this one. Don't get me wrong... I like Tats. But for the money these are hard to beat.

It makes it all better

I've tried 3 robustos and they were all bad. I've had more than 4 boxes of toros and never had a bad one. Getting ready for bike ride with some friends tomorrow and I'm packing enough BH toros to go around.

Re: Brickhouse

I met up with a like minded brother tonight. I burned a couple of cigars from the PX/BX humidor...ughh what a mess. The Brickhouse a toro of some type with the flavor character of cardboard, burned as fast a top fuel dragster. Then a Diamond Crown Maximus possibly the Bud Lite of the cigar world. My new buddy is going to hook me up with one of his quality sticks tomorrow as we spend time at the Starbucks outdoor tables.

My review of these "handmades". :td:td

Re: Brickhouse

I have only had the Robusto. Liked it when I first tried and still do. I will smoke these on the golf course or when I am not really looking to focus on the stick 100% Decent price and some good flavor IMO.

One of the first sticks I really fell for and caught my attention.

Very curious to try the maduro...but they've only released it in a 6X60.

Little longer than I like for the ring gauge.. But I would try them. Didn't even know there were maduros of them.
