Partagas 150
I was at a B&M the other day and they still have 20 or so of these left at a price tag of $50. I was just curious if this is a good price on these? Thanks!-(P

Re: Partagas 150

Re: Partagas 150
Pass. Sorry, but I can't even fathom spending that kind of money on one stick.
|
Re: Partagas 150
A very very good NC, IMHO...but not worth anywhere near $50.
|
Re: Partagas 150
Hmmm...$50/stick - What size? (JC)
CigarAuctioneer just posted 5 sticks of the Partagas 150 "C" (5 1/2 X 49) this morning, and they are already $48.50-$50 in the first 4 hrs. LMAO - Maybe my untouched P-150 RyR chest will finally pay me back :-) ***Personally, I've dropped less on a good Behike or Siglo VI...and would rather do that than the P-150's :-) |

Fake partagas not worth smoking IMHO they aint bad but they aint good either.
Better off with diesel or a bunch of AF Hemingway for that kinda money. |

To the Original Poster: Depending on the size you were looking at $50 is right in line with the SRP for the 150's. Some of them retailed for around $70 a stick back in the day. They're becoming exceedingly rare these days. Whether you want to smoke one or just have one for your collection it's definitely something to consider. |

They might be getting rare but they aint worth $50 each IMHO let alone 70. |
Re: Partagas 150
Lot of money

Re: Partagas 150
Just because it's not a CC Partagas does NOT mean it's a fake cigar. I'm sorry but your comment might be the worse comment I've heard in a long time.

And for the money people seem to be charging for a single one i found more pleasure in buying a entier box of AF short story maduros that cost a little more then i ever did in the single one of these i got. |
Re: Partagas 150
You're full of awesomeness. Enjoy the this board.

Re: Partagas 150
I've smoked one and it was DAMNED GOOD. I don't think it was quite $50 good, but I wouldn't mind paying between $10-20 for one. There are some NC's that I wouldn't mind forking over $50 for at the right moment. Of course, I don't have $10 for a stick right now let alone $50.

I believe your assessment of what is real and what is fake is somehow misguided. Partagas 150 is a legitimate brand registered to General Cigar Company in the US. |

Re: Partagas 150
Aside from the $50 price tag (or in spite of it), I'd also have some questions as at how they have been kept. Coming across a B&M that happens to have some of these rolling around in a box does not automatically give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Re: Partagas 150
I had a few of the Partagas 150s when they first came out. They were incredible sticks. Would I spend $50 on one? I wouldn't! But, that's because I'm tight. I will say that I wish I'd bought a few more of them (like a whole box) when they were about $6-$10 a stick. They were (and probably are) great smokes.
I also wouldn't spend $7 on a Short Story Maduro - I found them lackluster at best. But, I only need to satisfy my tastes, and everybody else has to satisfy theirs. So, each should smoke what makes their palate happy. Peace of the Lord be with you. |
Re: Partagas 150
So I guess all my Cohiba's, Partagas, Hoyo's, and Romeo NC's are all fakes.

Why do you even post on the non-Cuban board then?

I can't see Reavers point making any sense. Based on that logic, a CD with the swear words edited out is a FAKE IMPOSTER of the non-edited one. Albeit, it's the same artist and everything. I hope he's just joking... |

But hay thats just me and BTW as a Englishman do you really think i would come to a American board and ask questions/write reviews about non-cubans if i was one of those people who looks down upon people who smoke NC cigars. |
Re: Partagas 150
I also think you guys need to go easy on Simon. One of the things I have enjoyed about this place is that people are not too sensitive. We all can type things that can be misinterpreted. We may even say something that someone disagrees with but we don't need to make them out to be the devil.
relax and let's enjoy! :tu |
