Favorite Inexpensive Colognes?

Hey Everyone,

So I've been shopping around for good, everyday casual colognes that wont break the bank. I used to wear ADIDAS Ice Dive and now wear a cheap knock-off of Polo Black. Are there any other inexpensive colognes you can recommend? What are your favorites?

As far as what is inexpensive, we are talking less than $20 range. I know there probably isn't a lot that will be spectacular in this range, but most are good for everyday/ after a shower use.

Let me know what you like!

I had a bottle of this in college and seemed to like it (more specifically the chicas did), but I haven't bought a bottle in years. It's also more of a Spring/Summer scent than a Fall/Winter, if that matters any to you.

I use to wear cologne but now I just don't bother. All of my clothes smell like smoke anyways, it's not ever coming out. That and I usually smell like smoke.

Free cologne as far as I'm concerned.

IIRC though I use to wear some Diesel cologne that smelled pretty damn good and was about ~$25-$30 a bottle.

+1 to Versace Blue Jeans. But it's a small bottle 2.5oz or so, so it's not really cheap when you factor in the size.

One you can find cheap is Curve and one of it's spinoffs called Curve Crush that I like. I once bought a huge bottle (6+ oz bottle of Curve Crush for like $35). I regret it though and prefer to buy smaller bottles now so they stay fresh. I realized that the big sized bottles change scent before I'm done with them and I don't get the use out of them.

Some other reccomendations are Claiborne Sport, Nautica, and Cool Water.

If anything, I was trying to remember a decent cologne that I wore/used to wear that fit within his specific price range. It's a smaller bottle, but with normal use (couple spritzes a day) it should still last several months. Drakkar Noir still around? That was the very first cologne I wore in high school, and I seem to remember it being somewhat economical. Had to have been, I was able to afford it in high school.:r

Seriously though, I like - and my daughters like:

Acqua di Gio Cologne by Giorgio Armani and Stetson Black.

I really don't remember how much I paid for either of them but they have lasted a good while.

Set Sail St. Barts by Tommy Bahama is a good one and it can usually be had on sale for a decent price. It's a little strong though, use sparingly. :tu

+1 for the acqua di gio it was a gift from a good friend of mine. So I don't know the price. But I do know my girl loves it and I get a lot of comments at school. Which isn't something that happens when I wear other stuff that often.

I'm a bit of a colonge wh0re. My wife is constantly buying me new ones that she likes...... I think she's trying to tell me I stink. One of my favorites is Tim McGraw Silver. I know Target carries it and it's right around $20-$25 a bottle. I get more compliments with it than any other. I'd say it's more of a spring/summer, but that doesn't matter to me, I wear what I like.

It's pretty popular stuff, and I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't be able to pick any up anywhere for his stated price range.

When I'm buying, I like Sung Homme by Alfred Sung(easily had at your price) & Burberry London(< $10 over your price).

My wife prefers L'Eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake, so that is also in the rotation, though out of your price range.

You also cannot go wrong with Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries... It's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good.

It's a formidable scent... It stings the nostrils. In a good way; but sixty percent of the time it works every time.:tu

You can always spray yourself down with Axe--apparently women rip their clothes off automatically whenever it's around. Based on its target market, it can't be that expensive

Re: Favorite Inexpensive Colognes?

So I got a small sampler of "designer" brands. Curve was one of them. Its much more to my liking. Some of the other ones were 360 Degrees by Perry ellis, (I also like that a lot) PS, its ok, Halston z-14 (not really up my alley) and something Flannel with I hate. lol. I plan on using the Curve and 360 daily, and the Halston and PS for when I go to Lodge. I am thinking of looking into Nautica/ Nautica Voyage ,and maybe cool water.

I have 90% of a bottle of "Cigar" spray that was given to me as a gift. Smells like Polo.
