Cigars on the brain.

Ok...here goes, my dark secret that my cigar supportive wife does not even know.

Every where I go I look at places and things through cigar glasses. For instant, when I'm at a nice home and I see a nice cabinet piece or a glass China hutch, I think...hummm that would make a cool humidor or hummm how could I turn that into one?

I now see beautiful decks or patios and think how cool it would be to have a cigar get-together..... Every town I drive through, if I have a couple of minutes I look for a local B&M. And it is almost impossible for me not to stop at a cigar shop once I spot one.

Finally here I am late at night talking to you guys....welcome to the dark side.

I used to think this - this washing machine could be 4 boxes of these or two sweet cabs of those, this set of Michelins could be the two cabs I've been drooling over, this tank of gas is nearly a dress box of Party shorts. Luckily, I've quit that. It was nerve-racking.

Cool. So that means you can't really live without cigars. They have become part of our existence.

I have been in the same boat as well, I was looking through a Bed,Bath & Beyond catalog this morning and saw a nice cabinet and thought, that would make a nice humidor.

Last night on TV I was watching "Work of Art, the next great artist" and thought about WOAMs!

I drive by a nice looking "for Lease" building everyday on my way home from work and think that would make a fine cigar shop!

I like the term "Cigar Glasses", it is soo true!

I sold my golf clubs to buy cigars, and tried to sell many other things too.
The other day the wife said, "Shane has some golf clubs you guys should go golfing."
I just looked away.

I hear ya there! Mine is semi-supportive. Says its fine, but every time a new box shows up in the mail I get the :sl ing and "what, you got more" type of response. I have learned to order on Monday because they come on Wednesday - Friday when she is at work! lol

Welcome to the dark side my friend! :tu

I get the strong impression from the wife(even though she actually loves me smoking) that as long as I still have smokes in the humi why do need to order more.

Doesn't she know that in order to keep a humi you have to overfill it or the temp gets weird?

Or the...If you don't keep your gas tank full your car won't go, same rules apply!

Re: Cigars on the brain.

I may have a problem, this week it looks like I will be ordering from 3 different suppliers. This means 3 separate boxes....humm. I guess its time for another smoke...got to make room.

Re: Cigars on the brain.

First thing I do when I wake up is open the humidor and pick out a smoke.

I'm in the same boat. I search craigs list about every 3 days for humidors just so I can see if there are any cool ones for sale in my area. every time I look at my entertainment center, I think about how I could turn it into a Humidor and how awesome it would be to have a 46" TV sitting on top of it.

Re: Cigars on the brain.

Welp, I decided I am going to sell some stuff tonight at the local HALF PRICED BOOKS, eaiser than ebay or craigslist, I probably won't get as much as i wanted, but I am inpatient, besides there is an event coming up at a local B&M I want to attend and not be a cheapskate.

I love the idea of a TV stand humidor. Sounds like a great cigar lounge idea.

hmm ... no, I'm not so crazy, despite of the fact that I often like to spend time in a company with an interesting cigar

I heard someone talking about binders today so i popped into their office and asked them what they were talking about, it was 3 ring binders, not cigar binders.

Re: Cigars on the brain.

I was out of town the last few days on business and didn't pack my herfador...no idea why I would do something so stupid. :sh

Anyway, I kept dreaming of returning home today (Friday) and burning a great cigar with my some good buddies of mine.

The time has come...:dr

Finally, my desires will be fulfilled!!! :D
