Unique Italian Humidor

My brother is traveling abroad right now with his wife in Italy. He sent this pic over today with the most unique humidor I have ever seen. I had to post it up for BOTLs to take a look at!

It was going for 1500 Euros, or about $2100. :sl

Too much $$, but a very interesting way to hold your sticks.

It looks really cool, but I would be worried about wrapper damage...

Wicked cool. It doesn't allow for sticks sliding forward, but it's a desktop, so I suppose that doesn't matter. I immediately thought of using the system in a travel humi, and have been crunching on ways to make it work. :)

:tpd:

Those were my first thoughts too Michael. Followed by, it looks like you might be limited to only longer cigars with this design.

The Italian box is interesting, wouldn't seem to hold too many smokes though. Well as compared to how some of us like to pack them in a tight spot. Rich though.

I'm with these guys, not practical and expensive...but very interesting to see.

Re: Unique Italian Humidor

Yea, no way I would ever pay that much for a humi but it was different. I too thought the gauging could get screwy and wrappers damaged long term.

Either way, glad you guys enjoyed it.

Now that would be cool, keep us in the loop. Short-term storage with this design would be awesome I would think. :banger

I could see that humi in some bigwig's office. 60 sticks on hand and an impressive presentation. When you open it it fans out all the sticks making it easy to select one. The main stash would be in a cabinet somewhere else.

This looks like it would make a heckuva humidor. And it's definitely bigger. :D

Re: Unique Italian Humidor

Thats a lot of money for something that would only be used as a display piece. Also as others have mentioned I would be afraid of wrapper damage due to sliding the sticks in and out.

I have a big halliburton it might work in. Trays, not stick holes. I saved the pic to remind me, I might give it a go if I ever get my shop finished.

So, sort of like a tackle box with trays that lift up and separate as you open the lid?

That could be kind of neat.
