Just ordered a 5 pack of LG9 Robusto and 5 Illusione Cg4 Maduros. Looks like I will need anew humidor soon.

Just remember "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs" -- you gotta make sure that you don't put your cigars ahead of your need for "food, shelter, and security".

Both my humidors are packed.

My cabinet is packed.

And I mean packed as in stuffed with no room to squeeze in anything else.

So what do I do? I order another box.

Looks like I'll be picking up some tupperware when I go shopping this afternoon. It's a sickness. :lr

I have two humidors full and two lockers at two different lounges full, and I am still buying more cigars all the time. I am a very sick man, but I love this hobby.

I'm not sure a 5-pack here and there qualifies as a full-blown case of ODO, as opposed to a box or three every week or so, but it does seem to be an early symptom. Maybe you should see a doctor. :D

I think my problem is not that I order too many, it's that I don't smoke enough. If I smoked more I wouldn't be running out of room.

1000 dollar insurance bill compelled me to slow down on my purchases. Wife thinks I have too many so I have to sneak them out to the locker at the B&M so it looks more empty.

Yeah this slope is slippery for sure. Ive just gotten into the hobby and ive already got a coolidor. Ive purchased 4 boxes in the last week and a half as well as a few 5 packs and have another box on backorder. I need to slow down but I dont want to. :r

slippery slope butyou find a medium with time. after a year I haven't purchased anything for awhile and after PIF and smoking. my coolidors are at a nice medium , with room for the hmm thats a nice deal times and still being able to semi save for the new car I need to get and pay bills.

I had to buy ski's for the slope the bumps were killing me without them...1 maxed out vino, maxed out 50 qt cooler later...I love these slopes

Back a few years ago when I got into this "hobby" more seriously I was referred to cbid. I started out a relatively normal guy -- buying only what I liked to smoke at the time. However as I began to win auctions, I found myself bidding on things I had no earthly idea of whether not I liked them. I rationalized that by thinking if I got them at a good price, it would be a great way to sample them. Except then I started buying "pretty" boxes -- ended up with a crap load of Don Lino Africa boxes. Then I figured if I liked one vitola in a marca, I had to have boxes of all the vitolas in the marca. I went crazy.

Thank God I haven't found something similar on the Cuban side of things, but someone please PM me if you know of anything. :D

I am trying to get the wife to agree to an allowance of about $100 every 2 weeks...this way I can oder some samples.

I have to admit, I do find myself sneaking things now.
Yesterday I got home and ran to the mailbox to grab my Shilala beads order before she saw it. I stop at a B&M and grab a cigar or two and try to smuggle into my humidor before she sees.:r

She doesn't understand, she thinks that 10 cigars should be plenty to have on hand.
I don't like her to look into my humi because then she thinks I don't need anything.
When I got bombed to death last Saturday she saw what I got and said ,"well I guess you don't need to buy anything anytime soon". Then I went to Walmart to get a cooler!

I justify it by telling myself she would rather not know about my "problem".

So far my wife is cool and I haven't gone crazy, but I fear it's coming, I am already thinking about a coolider.

Especially if I get involved in some trades, or god forbid I get bombed and I bomb back I want to be prepared ya know, not just with the storage, but I want to be able to bomb back properly.

Its coming, be forewarned, its coming. I started the year 2010 with 75 cigars. I joined CA and soon after started going crazy. 1500 or so cigars later, I still got the bug.

Luckily my buddy gave me his old humi (holds about 100-150) while I was waiting on my order from Thompson, so I am not without, but just know I am going to need another or a coolidor and soon.

It can be a challenge to self-control. Twice, I've requested new VISA cards because I had the # memorized and it was too easy to order.
