Some life, some artwork.

I've mainly just been lurking for the past year. Life has changed a lot. Some good, ..some bad. I have fallen back into love with my two biggest passions in life.... Cars and Art. I have begun doing both again. Recently, iacquired a new "project car" to build for road-racing. On the art side, i began to make pieces of work again. I really only work when i am motivated. So these peices both took about 2-3 months. Not because of the difficulty... but because of my sporatic (sp) motivation.

I am an artist at heart.... at least my college degree tells me that I am.

I wanted to make an accent piece for my kitchen and my family room. Everything is large in presence. Most pieces are 4-5 feet tall. I like to do layer-work. The paint really raises itself "off the page" if you will.

Sorry for the "decent" camera work. I will take some better pics later in the day.

For the family room.

I like cars and artwork as well. as far as cars, I prefer classic cars. theres nothing like the iconic look of a 1959 Caddillac or a 1957 chevy Bel Air. and for art I am into ceramics. I really enjoy working with crystalline glazes

Love the artwork, it must be really cool to be able to put your own stuff on the walls. I wish I had even a fraction of that talent.

Brother, i love the classics too. I was very torn between 3 cars when deciding where to spend my money on my new project.... it was between the nissan 240sx, datsun 240z, and a 67 cadillac deville...pretty spread out right?

I love em all. Cars are very fun to work on. When they run right.... they become less fun.
