Cigar Etiquette

Help! I think I know but i want to hear it from other people. Puff on!

Re: Cigar Etiquette

Do you have a question? :hm

Re: Cigar Etiquette

what is it that you want to know? Many topics fall under this general heading, so some guidance from you on what you are looking for would be most helpful.

One etiquette rule that I have heard is this: never gift a cigar you have pissed on. Sounds obvious, but some like to have the rules spelled out.

Re: Cigar Etiquette

never puff from the end with the fire

Another I heard was: Never gift a cigar that you smoked 1/2 of, but didn't like.

Another one is: If you are at a herf and they do a puff-puff-pass, don't put the PPP cigar up your left nostril as your way to sample it.

Again, I think those are fairly obvious, but some need to have these things spelled out.

Glad to be of assistance.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

Do not throw your cigar butts into a urinal, it makes them very dificult to smoke.

Its not even a question. Do you have something specific or just want to know everything about how to properly smoke a cigar? :hm

My guess is most of the questions you have can be answered by doing a lot of reading around the forum. :tu

Dont smash a cigar in the ash tray to put it out.

Re: Cigar Etiquette

Hmmm, It is always polite to ask before you lite up a cigar if you are around non smokers.
Gift cigars that you like.
Blowing cigar smoke in someones face is a bad idea.
I know that you are new, have look read the thread for new people?

what's the general question. we're here to help you but "cigar etiquette" isn't a question, it's a statement...what questions about "cigar etiquette" do you have?

Re: Cigar Etiquette

While you are contemplating your questions and reading all the stickies, maybe you should swing over to the New Member Forum and post an introduction. :tu

Re: Cigar Etiquette

All this talk of etiquette... here is a good thing to do:

1. Buy a box of HTF cigars from a BOTL
2. Smoke half of a cigar and decide you don't like it
3. Put the remaining, smoldering half-smoked cigar back into the box
4. Ship the box of "newly-infused" cigars back to the BOTL
5. Demand your money back

That is really good etiquette...

Re: Cigar Etiquette

Never buy cigars without your wife's permission. It makes for a bad day when they arrive.

24 hour rule. If they are in your humidor over 24 hours without her noticing, she can no longer get upset about them :tu

When people ask you to put your cigar out, threaten to put it out in their eye.

Also can I add selling unbanded $100+ cigars for 30-40% of their MSRP and swearing they are legit.

No matter how much you would like to, no matter how valuable and rare the cigar is, keistered cigars should not be placed into PPPs.
