Thanks for the heads up, might have to look into some of these.

Re: Viaje WMD & MOAB
Every viaje I have tried has been awesome. But I think I'm done buying $15 NC's

Re: Viaje WMD & MOAB
If they are both the same blend as the TNT, I'll pass.

Looks like I'll let this one go and let the masses decide how good these are.

Re: Viaje WMD & MOAB
Not sure if anybodies smoked the S&B ? recently...but I'm wishing I had held onto more than I did. Not as good as the Daisy Cutter...but really solid. If it has a skull & crossbones on it...I'm gonna buy it. I would rather have em, not like em and sell em...than not have em, find out I like em and have to pay somebody (pronounced: dirt bag) $3 more per stick because there's none let anywhere. :)

Re: Viaje WMD & MOAB
I guess I am in the minority of guys who liked the TNT. Rationing my last two.:td I just smoked the Candela tonight and I enjoyed it but the recent Exclusivo was still green IMHO so I am curious to see how these two new sticks smoke.
|
Re: Viaje WMD & MOAB
It does seem like the vast majority of the Recent (read: in the last year) Viaje releases have been VERY young and green tasting...
Other then the Tower 45th (which goes on sale in April), most likely because it has been sitting for 8 months or so after being rolled... ~brooks |
Re: Viaje WMD & MOAB
I just couldn't justify paying this premimum on the sticks...
Skull & Bones WMD 3.75x54 $9.95each/boxes of 25. Skull & Bones MOAB 4.25x54 $10.40 each/box of 100. |

But I have flipped the script a few times for lack of a better term. But I guess I am comfortable with the term dirtbag. :) I always thought of myself more as 'helpful'.:D A facilitator. A forward thinker. A capitalistic humanitarian. A dirtbag with a heart of gold. But yeah....a dirtbag. |

Re: Viaje WMD & MOAB
It's pretty strong and tasty. My only issue is due to the small format of the cigar it burns a bit hot.

Re: Viaje WMD & MOAB
Is the draw on the loose side?

I guess the hardest thing for me is the constant high end small batch release. At first I thought it was pretty cool. What gets old is constantly trying new $10-$20 cigars that 1. I have no idea if I'll actually like; and 2. If I do like/love them are now no longer available. There are tons of great $10-20 regular production cigars that always seem to beat these limited release cigars. The Opus X Double Robusto, the Padron (just about any of the 64s, 26s, etc. Not to mention ones like the Siglo VI, PSD No. 4, etc. |
Re: Viaje WMD & MOAB
That being said... for those of you who are into these I hope you get some and love 'em!

Re: Viaje WMD & MOAB
I can't. Got my funds tied up in sea sponges. Which sucks, because I'm a sucker for the s&b, no matter the vitola or release. Though I don't know if I'd want a stronger cigar than the last s&b.

Anyone Want To Do A Review On These Sticks, Please?:D

Very spicy, but not too overpowering to be honest with you, this is definitely on par with the initial release,. I was hanging out with the fella's, and they kept the Johnny walker flowing to the point that I had to go outside, and drink a Mt. Dew Throwback (with real sugar in it) to get sober again. The nicotine kick from this cigar wasn't too overwhelming, put you definitely felt its presence as it progressed. I actually nubbed this cigar! Sorry that my "mini-review" is so limited in details, but I was having too much fun where I was at, and enjoying the cigar at the same time! In my opinion this is what viaje "micro" batches are all about, a great blend that smokes well. With all the BS that i've felt that Andre has been releasing lately (WLP's, 7.00 exclusivo shorts, etc...) I really think he nailed it with this one!:tu |
