Not to stir the poo..but..

Did anyone else get this? I just got it out of nowhere. And guess what? The link to unsubscribe is dead. How convenient. :rolleyes:

I let the admin know that sending emails though a list with no way for the recipient to unsubscribe is a clear violation of the CAN-SPAM act though. :tu

Now to head over the FTC website to report it! :):salute::tg

I did and had the same problem. The non-working unsubscribe link wasn't the only violation of can-SPAM compliance either.

Surprised to have gotten one of these out of the blue as well. Haven't been over there in a few years, and haven't gotten anything from them in about the same amount of time. I'll just delete it, easy enough.

I did the forward routine plus marked as spam in my email reader. Will be interesting to see if these actions get me banned. Don't much care either way.:pn

Got another after unsubscribing also but then I realized my fault. I unsubscribed the email that it got bounced to. Just unsubscribed the original address, hope I don't start getting them on both address's....

It won't stick, because I won't get the confirmation e-mail, but Craputo just took care of forwarding for me...

I unsubscribed, complained to Craputo, few hours later I got a second poof daily indigestion mail. Made a filter now, next one is automatically forwarded to Craputo with some cursewords

Noticed that I, too, got multiple copies of the email today and yesterday. I may have to use one of my filters so I don't hafta keep deleting these annoyances!

I also started receiving yesterday. And now, my login is in invalid.

Must have been cleaning house...:rolleyes:

Correction: My login does not work on the main page, but did log me into the forums when I used the old CS link.

This doesn't help anyone today, but a long time ago I changed my email account at that site to one that I never check. Haven't logged in since, so hopefully they will disable my account.

I think the multiple are from when they merged CS and CL together into poof. It duplicated everyone's account and they got a username-cs (or cl) tag. Anyone remember that stuff?
I only got one email each of the last two days, the unsuscribe worked for each.

I just went and signed in and it wouldn't let me use the one you used Kreth, it said it was already in use.:r I changed it to some made up address.

After reading this thread and already having tried to unsubscribe from the Digest a couple times, I went on Puff and started a thread griping about the whole thing. And I'm not even a grump by nature...well not usually. ;)

Yup- it's there daily in my inbox. Just delete it- going over there to try to unsubscribe isn't worth giving them "another visitor!!!"

The technique that I used, before I was banned, was to change my email address to something invalid, like "spam@fbi.gov". I don't get the mailings ...

I just started getting the crap on Thursday, can't unsubscribe, but it is fortunately heading straight to my 'Spam folder' and gets reported as a fishing scam. :td
