Some observations from a complete newbie...

4 Attachment(s)
So after registering and looking around the asylum it looks like i'll fit right in here. I have seen posts on guns, watches, beer, outoor activities and pretty much everything else I enjoy. Here are a few pics of my other hobbies.

My old Yamaha Roadstar 1600 custom, I worked on this like hell to get it how I wanted it, sold it and my wife's 1100 when we bought our boat. Hard to smoke on a bike, boat is much better.

Few pics of some of my guns (no pics of my handguns).

And lots of fishing.

Ya, you need to go. You can catch bones right off the beach, I stay out on Ambergris Caye which is an island off the mainland, walk off the beach and catch bones. You can get into tarpon and permit off the backside in the lagoon.

I was looking into going to Blue Horizon a couple of years ago before my accident in the Keys. I'll have to look into the area that you suggested.

What accident? I love the keys, wish I could het down there more. Me and the wife have been kicking around the idea of moving to Homestead in a few years when we retire.

Long story. You can do a search and find it I'm sure. Short version; I slipped stepping off the boat, fell off the dock, wrapped myself around a 4x4, broke half a dozen ribs in one fasion or another, and ripped the top 1/3 of my spleen off. Lost 3 liters of blood by the time I went to the hospital and they got me patched up. Spent a week in ICU in Marathon. Scared my 80 something year old dad who was with me and my wife and daughter who were 500 miles away to death.

I recommend the Keys, but not that way!

Sounds like a plan. Utah is on my list of places to visit/fish.
