Dunno if anyone else is as awestruck with quantum physics, and what it means for modern science.

It takes a few viewings to start understanding.

I bought it without knowing what it was. Heavy stuff.

Lol. I would just ask that you give it a try. Hell, I think even Netflix has it.

Nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Grab a two hour smoke and enjoy the ride :tu

Getting off the soapbox now. Just figured I'd share one of the best movies I've seen in years.

I will agree that the general population is not a big fan of thinking, thus the popularity of the film did not receive much recognition. But, I know there are a good number of "thinkers" here who would appreciate it.

My mom bought this a few years ago. I still haven't seen it, but she really liked it.

Interesting, I will look into this further and give more of my opinion when finished. I love science.

I remember watching this when it came out. I also remember thinking how pretentious it was.

I may have to watch it again, but it was pretty forgettable the first time around :)

I can see where you would get that. Though I don't know if "pretentious" would be the correct word to describe it.

It all came back to me with Scotts post. I couldn't figure out why things just didn't seem right while I was watching it. Then came Ramtha.

This isn't science, or quantum physics, its a propaganda piece for Ramtha's School of Enlightenment.

Maybe I'll give it another watch under this view. The thought did cross my mind a few times (regarding some of it being propaganda).

Will also check out Ramtha's past as well.

Maybe pretentious wasn't the word I was looking for...but yea, something didn't sit right and I looked up details on the film and filmmakers afterward. It's just been so long I totally forgot about it all.

I got no problem questioning everything, but I also question the the questioners!

(whatever in the world that means!)

pektel 02-11-2011 10:30 AM

Re: What the ?*#%? do we know?

No, I completely understand what you mean.

Whatever the potential issue one may have with the people in the film, one thing it did VERY well was "did some great presentations to challenge people to think about the nature of consciousness and perception, and to animate complex neurobiology issues many with science or medical backgrounds have trouble picturing or explaining."

*quoted section is from another place around the internet. Explained it concisely, so I copied and pasted here.
