The Super Bowl

It should be against the Law for a person like Christina Aguillera to sing the national anthem.
Song stylings have no place in that song. She even got the words wrong. I think she is hot,
no doubt about her sexiness, but that's just a shame.

Lea Michelle did a much better job with America the Beautiful, but why can't people ever get the fact
that it's "Purple mountain's majesty" not purple mountain majesties. They can pick up on every subtle
nuance of Brittney Spears' songs on Glee, but when it comes to iconic American music, they fall victim
to the most common errors. That said, I'd pay cash money to be the meat between two slices of their bread.

Re: The Super Bowl

Exactly...everyone knows the Artist Formerly Known as Prince is His Purple Mountain Majesty. ;)

Re: The Super Bowl

As the music was patterned after a British drinking song, I see nothing wrong with artistic license. :2

DEION SANDERS is in the Hall of FAME??? Why didn't they just make him a judge on American Idol?
Oh it's going to be a night of nit picking.

One of the few bright spots among otherwise crappy commercials.

Re: The Super Bowl

is there some reason the Steelers are beating their heads against the wall with Rashard Mendenhall around the end...after the
first 8 times, you'd think they'd try the middle. Then again, that play is probably out for now, lol.

Re: The Super Bowl

Roethlisberger really picked the secondary apart on that last drive. Hopefully GB can hang. Those two injuries really hurt them.

Brad, for many years I have adored you from afar, but if Beiber shows up at halftime next year....:r:r

Yeah it was pretty sucktacular. I just thought TPTB over-compensated after the "wardrobe malfunction" and this was the first half-time act that was at least somewhat contemporary.

That was a good game. Pittsburgh made one hell of a comeback, but turnovers just killed them...

What a great game. I must say that I do not like sweating out a game like that. I thought that we were going to lose this one when Driver and Woodson went out.

God's blessings to all the Steelers fans.

Peace of the Lord be iwth you.

Re: The Super Bowl

A friend and her family from work are huge Steeler fans. We got invited over for their party: pig roast. Great to watch especially since my wife and stepson are cheeseheads.

Did it seem like there were more car commercials than ever? It seemed like every car manufacturer had at least one slot during the game. Budweiser was almost nonexistent, if nothing else, non memorable. The only really decent commercial was the one from Snickers.

And the 08 San Cristobal El Principe was really good too.
