It sucks being that late. I go on duty in the morning. Perhaps try.

90% chance of snow overnight here, so I am guessing the Chicago area won't see a thing. :(

Snowing here right now, and supposed to go straight through to tomorrow. Bummer, I would certainly check this out if I could.

Snow forecasted here in the Northeast as well... I hope someone gets to see this eclipse!

Raining over here, but I might go up the mountains to see if I can get above the clouds.

According to the Futurecast on our local weather it's supposed to be completely clouded over but I'm gonna stay up for it anyway in hopes.

We're in the middle of a week long tropical rainstorm that pretty much makes my chances of catching this thing null. :sad
Sounds very cool though.

I can see it a little so far. There is a slight cloud haze with some flurries.

These could have been so much nicer. I have a Manfrotto tripod and an 80-200 2.8 sitting under the tree but I couldnt open them to use tonight.

Me "Can I please use them then they go right back in the box?"
Dad "no."
Me "But this wont happen again for another 500 years!!!"
Dad "Stop exaggerating"

:sad:sad:sad

Zeuceone,

Thanks so much for posting the schedule! I was afraid I was going to miss this, but I was able to set my alarm and get up for some portions that I wanted to see.

Wolfgang,

Great pictures! Thank you!

Great pics!

It was overcast this morning, but the sunrise was great with red clouds. It's a great morning so far!

Re: Red lunar eclipse 12/21

Glad to see that at least someone got to enjoy the eclipse and snapped some pics. I didn't even bother staying up due to the thick cloud cover we've got over here.
