NFL Survival Pool
 

The object of Yahoo! Sports Survival Football is to be the last Active member of your individual group.

In order to accomplish this goal, you must correctly pick the winner of one professional football game each week. If you pick a team that loses or ties, you incurs a Strike (i.e., a miss) and could be eliminated, depending on your group's settings. Public groups use "1 Strike and you're eliminated," while private groups can use 1, 2, or 3 Strikes settings.

But, to make this somewhat simple task more difficult, you can only pick each professional football team once during the regular season.

Pick Submission:
The deadline to submit your final pick each week will be "5 minutes before the first game of each week," which may be on a Thursday or Saturday during some weeks.

Your group's deadline setting can be found by clicking on the "Settings" link from a group page. Additionally, the specific weekly deadline will be listed on your picks Overview and Picks pages.

Sorry, but it isn't possible to edit picks after the weekly deadline. Similarly, it isn't possible to join a group after the first weekly deadline for that group has passed.

Additionally, it isn't possible for group commissioners to edit picks after the deadline or reactivate individual members without resetting the entire group.

Yahoo! Sports Survival Football is a free game that runs through the entire 2010 professional football season —which begins on Thursday, September 9, 2010.

Feel free to join the game at any time beginning Wednesday, July 28, 2010. The first deadline for submitting a selection is 5: 25 p.m. PT on Thursday, September 9, 2010.

To Play:
5 handmade NC cigars. These will be sent by you, to the winner at the end of the season.

Who Can Play:
Member of the Asylum for at least 60 days as of September 1, 2010
Have zero negative trader feedback ratings
Have at least 1 positive trader feedback

The funny thing is, it was the "correct" call, it's just a very bad rule. Eventhough he has two feet down, maintained control, landed on his bum, and had broken the plane of the end zone with, control, the fact the he put the ball on the ground to help himself up cost the Lions the game. Simply a pathetic rule. "Process" will be the word for the week.
