Re: Gurkha Viper

To be fair, Vin, I think there may be worst cigars....maybe ;)

Supposedly we needed to smoke the Cremosa all the way through to truly appreciate the POS that it was. Sadly, I can say I haven't ruined my palate to that degree. Although, the Viper would easily make the top 3 in that PPPP.

Re: Gurkha Viper

I have had a Cremosa and can tell you the true nasty rotten fish taste is at the 2/3 point.

All your comments are just making this cigar more attractive to Mario! Next freakin herf he will be passing them out like candy! :bh

Cremosa's come in two flavors. If you are very lucky you get the ones that taste like wet cardboard. The unlucky ones get the taste of dead fish that has been sitting on the counter for a week. Truly vile! :pu

Actually that turd looking thing just tasted like sawdust and air. The cremosa on the other hand made me dry heave.

Two for two. Last year, Stag. This year, Viper. Yes, I am responsible. :D

I'll have to think about what kind of horrid cigar to submit next year. :r

Dead fish is exactly what the Cremosa tasted like. And I ranked the Cremosa better than the Viper. "Vile" doesn't even begin to cover the badness of the Viper. I wonder if Gurkha even tested this blend ...

The shop here carries some Gurkha. I'm gonna see if they've got one and try it. Good to have a benchmark to measure other shitty cigars against.

Seems only fair, Greg. Although we probably should have forced you in this year, you will be more spry by next August. ;)

I think the more violent and over the top Gurkha name their cigars the worse they are. I am saving up for a box of Rancid Ninja Zombie Racoon Rockets, a special release for the holiday season.

Re: Gurkha Viper

I don't know as I haven't had one... but the description from Best Cigar Prices sounds pretty tasty:

"Gurkha's Viper debuted in 2010 as one of Gurkha's first forays into budget-priced stogies. The Viper excells in craftsmanship and flavor, especially at this price point. Billed as full-bodied, it's probably more on the medium-full side since the rich tobacco flavors are very smooth and easy to enjoy. You'll find an overall sweet smoke with a leathery foundation, building in strength with hints of black cherry and caramel."

Maybe you guys had a fake:r:r:r

Caramel my ass. It tasted like what I imagine elephant sh!t would taste like.

The Dakotan 08-26-2010 07:07 PM

Re: Gurkha Viper

Only if the caramel has been marinating with "black cherries" ... in a septic tank.

If someone tasted caramel, they must have been eating a Twix while smoking.

No Twix, just the sweet taste of Java in between...talk about a palate cleanser....:r :r :r

And Greg, thanks for reminding me of the saddest moment in SW history since...hell, any part of the prequels, Franken-Darth.
