Re: Blackberry Storm
The fine print of the Blackberry Storm NYC Giveaway states the following:
"A BlackBerry® Storm™ 9500 Smartphone and a $50 Verizon Wireless gift card Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): *$549 each." So my guess is that if you want to buy the phone with no contract it will cost you $500. With a contract is would be considerably less than that. |

very nice toy

As long as they are $149 or less, I will sign with Verizon, ditch tmobile and have a new storm to play with! :D |

I love it! Best mobile I've ever had, hands down. It's not cheap in australia, cost me about a grand on top of my current plan with telstra. Ouch! Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: Blackberry Storm
Very nice. I'm already with Verizon and I love their service! It has never failed me like T-Mobile and AT&T have in the past. I'm going to check these out! :tu

Re: Blackberry Storm

Re: Blackberry Storm
The only thing I cant STAND about Vzw is how they lock down their phones. Thats a huge mark against them for me. I know that on some phones there are workarounds, but I'd rather go with something that doesn't mind giving me some freedom.
I just picked up the new G1 after years with Blackberry. I was using it as my backup phone, but after 12 hours, I called up Tmo and told them to drop my Blackberry as I was convinved the G1 was good enough for me. It gets better and better every day and best of all the apps are free. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Blackberry Storm
I remember those days where I thought I needed the most current piece of gadgetry of communication and would be glued to it like it was a colostomy bag, which it felt like after a couple of weeks. There was nowhere I could go to get peace and quiet and now you can be buzzed, tickled, beeped, emailed anytime of the night or day and your whole life revolves around these things. Glad I am retired and not having to deal with being in communication at all waking hours of the day. I wonder if anyone knows what it's like to relax and not have to be texting, calling, surfing all the time?

Re: Blackberry Storm
ITS OFFICIAL!
official date and official pricing: Available November 21st everywhere (online and in stores) 199.00 after a $50.00 mail-in rebate with a 2 year contract great pricing, but i decided to go with the bold and ATT this weekend. i think Verizon is just as good, but my experience with ATT and the service i get in the VA/DC area is fantastic. plus the Bold is just gorgeous and i wanna play around with it for awhile. but once the Storm comes to AT&T i'll definitely get it :tu |
Re: Blackberry Storm
it continues to AMAZE me how cheap phones are in america!!
I just paid over $1,000 for my BlackBerry Bold on a 2-year contract! Amazing! |
Re: Blackberry Storm
Just put $50 down for the Best Buy pre-order. $600 for being not eligible to upgrade.

Re: Blackberry Storm
Verizon opened up a new set of price plans called "Connect", I think it's reasonable to assume these are for the Storm launch.
