Just got into Dexter this year. Watched all 4 seasons in the matter of a month or so. I'm ready!

I'm more than ready for season five, but a little nervous also. New writer/director/producer (whoever it is) from 24 has me a bit worried for this series.

Luckily it was still on Showtime On Demand, so I got to catch up before the new season starts!

My wife was SUPER pissed at the ending. I can't wait to see what they do with the storyline this year.

Although I am wondering why andysutherland would be so worried about a 24 producer?

New people in on a series usually isn't a good thing, despite where they have previously worked. Look at Star Trek (TOS) season 3. New people in and the show tanked.

watched it tonight, pretty good and hope it sets the stage for a great season. This is one of the only shows that has surpassed the books it was based on for my enjoyment.

BTW, whatever happened to the story angle with Quinn being a dirty cop? Seems as if they either dropped the storyline or I just forgot what came of all that. Remember when he took the money out of the safe at a crime scene?

I wouldn't go as far as to say Quinn is dirty. He took that money the one time but that was it. Although that might come up later in this season. I'm guessing Dexter might have to take out Quinn as it seems Quinn is becoming the new Doakes, up in Dexters business and whatnot. We'll see though. As far as the slower start....I didn't think it was really that slow he got someone in the first episode. Second episode was good. Looks like the seasons really building up quite well.

Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed the first two episodes very much, it's just not quite the BEST Dexter I've seen. Then again, it's hard to top the last season.

I thought it was moving a bit slow, but now Dexter has too many problems. Gonna be a tough season for Dex.

For real. Last episode ended of a cliffhanger. I cannot wait to see the next episode. I just hope the producers keep the show about Dexter and not wander off like some television shows do.

The witness was Julia Styles, so I bet she's gonna be a part of the rest of the season. This won't get resolved quickly.

I thought they were gonna drag out the Animal Control guy a little longer. But he did say a couple of interesting things...'you don't know what you're getting into' and 'I gave them what they wanted (or asked for, can't remember exactly)'.

It was good to see a great Dexter ending, brings back memories of the first season.

Great new episode, It seems like he's just letting the girl go...this could hurt them.

Quinns suspending so you know he'll only go further into dexters business. WOW every episode is just building and building. I suspect something GREAT happening this season.

Me too. I loved her in The Tudors and hope she sticks around as a regular for a while.

Looks like Julia Styles is gonna be a big problem in the next episode. A loose cannon so Dex will have to take her out.

I'm not sure what to think of the previews coming up.

I highly doubt that Trinity's son will give up Dex, but I am not too sure how this turn of events with the girl is going to play out.

Dexter already did the Mentor/Partner thing with Jimmy Smits.

I would hate to see him have to kill Quinn, but after all these years if they ever kill off Masuka I will stop watching.

:r:r masuka isn't dying EVER. He is too....perverted and illogical. He thought quinn jacked all those meds. Quinn....I could do without so I bet he dies this season because he's VERY much like doakes, a PITA. The girl is the checkmate..I don't know whats happening with her, it really could go either way. This Debra and Quinn thing could play out many ways as well. I think this season will be the 2nd best season ever.

You think Deb will kill Quinn? She finds out about Dex and kills him to protect her brother? I've been thinking this for a while now.
