CAO Brazilia thoughts
I just had this cigar and it is the best I have smoked so far. I have only had like 10 unflavored cigars but to this day it is my favorite.
Now I know I am new but I would recommend this to any newbies that are like me and looking to try new sticks. I recently got it as a gift and I have fallen in love. Just my :2 How do you guys feel about it? |
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
Muito bem!

Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I like the GOL.
|
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
great stick my friend. The Gol! is probably the best size. Gotta love the CAO brand.
|
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I like the Gol! quite a bit.
|
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
One of my favorite NCs.
If you like them you should also try La Gloria Cubana Serie R maduros and Arturo Fuente 858 Maduros. :2 |
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
Very Good Sticks! I recommend the piranha size :D

Burned thru a box of Piranha's in relatively short fashion, it is time to stock up on something bigger!

Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I am selling some CAO samplers here...

Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I'll be the first to say that I don't like this cigar. Brazilian tobacco is too sweet for me, and apart from the La Traviata, I never liked any CAO so far. But that's just me. If you like them, congrats. Smoke what you like and don't let me or anybody else stop you from doing that.

Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I always keep a box of the gol on hand. They taste great off the truck and with a little rest as well. One of my go-tos.
|
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I smoked one of these about 5 years ago during a long cigar drought on an empty stomach not knowing what I was getting myself into. I think I smoked about 20 minutes worth and wanted to throw up for a few hours. I won't touch another one.

Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I guess I'm in the minority here as well, but this one just didn't do it for me. I may have to try it again though. I was at the park with my son when I had it and I may have smoked it too fast.

Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
These are great sticks especially the Gol size as mentioned above. When I was still a newb I used to smoke these things almost exclusively. Still like them to this day. I also really like them as a box press.

I really enjoy the Samba, it is very tasty. Haven't smoked any other size. It is the wrapper that gets me. :2

I don't know if the blend has changed, or if the extra age improved it, or if that first stick was a clunker, but one thing I know for sure . . . my palate has not gotten better. :r |
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I tried a Brazilia a while ago and wasn't impressed. I wrote down I didn't enjoy it, but didn't write down a reason..oops. On the other hand, I've really enjoyed the CAO Gold Maduro.

Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I bought a box of the Lambadas
before the SCHIP tax kicked in. I don't smoke them much, but those remaining are getting good age. They're one of the better CAOs. Chemyst :cool2: |
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
Just smoked one. It started out sweet and by mid way it gained a little spice. It burned nice but it was hard to get a good pull off of it. (would rolling the cigar around in my hand help loosen this up or should I leave it alone?)
Anyway, on about the last 1/3 of the cigar I lost my train of thought and I guess my brain told me I was smoking a cigarette like I used to when I had a drink. So I took a nice long draw and without thinking about what I was doing I inhaled. By the time the smoke got halfway down my throat my body realized that I had made a very very big mistake. I tried to cough as hard as I could but my throat was paralyzed. My god did that hurt. I was able to breathe properly again after about 5 minutes of gasping and coughing. I still feel a little rough. But that said, I will try another one in a month or two and see what I think about it. |

Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
Out of all the CAO's this is how I like them in order:
Cameroon Soprano's CX2 (I think this is a Famous exclusive now) Brazilia Traviata MX2 LX2 Italia Vision Gold America Not a fan of the Criollo. Never have been. I don't smoke too many CAO's any more, with the exception of the Cameroon. I have one of these about once a month or so. |

Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I just picked up a Box Press one of these at the local shop here. Have not smoked it yet but I will be changing that in a day or two. I will let ya know what I think. It was the mixed reviews from this post that has me wondering how I will feel about it.
If this is any indication of how I will be purchasing future cigars I feel I may be needing to pick up another humador quicker than was originally thought! |
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
This is actually one of the few CAO's I like. Brazil's have a nice coffee bean flavor, with a woody core, a touch of leather, and some chocolate notes. Fairly strong, but most brunette's are :)
|
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I like them. I might bite and snag a box one day when I can gather some penny's together for it.
I haven't had a bad one yet out of the 4 or so that I have had. |
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I don't care for them, but I am glad you do.
|
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I liked the Gol!, the Chango (tubo) not so much. Box-pressed was ok.
Probably one of the better CAO's but not quite box-worthy to me. |
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
Piranhas (aka ""Fishies"")
Damn near a requirement in my humi. |
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
Brazilias are the best CAO for the money.
One of the few CAOs that I like. Chemyst :cool2: |
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I used to like these and the Italias. Haven't had either in a long time. This thread makes me want to revisit them and see how my tastes may have changed.
|
Re: CAO Brazilia thoughts
I tried one and didn't care for it. It wasn't that it was a bad cigar, I just didn't like the flavors.
I prefer the Italia, but I've been avoiding CAOs lately because every one that I light seems to have burn issues, no matter where I bought them from or whether they sit in the humi or not. The burn is very uneven and they tend to go out unless I constantly puff on it. I like to be able to sit back and relax with a cigar rather than have to constantly futz with it. It's a shame, because I really do like the Italia. |
