Petite Corona suggestions

Dear friends, I need some assistance.

I have always loved PAM Principes (4.5X46), Paul Garmirian Bombones (3.5X43) - recently (last 4 years) I have added the Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic Perla (4.2X40).

What I'd like your help with, is finding some others in that size ranget that would be med-full bodied and mildly sweet. Nothing over 4.5 inches (but may be as short as 3.5"), and nothing under a 40 ring nor over a 46.

And, here's the kicker - would like them to be in the $2.50 - $4.50 range.

So, what's out there that you're enjoying?

If someone is interested, I'd would especially be willing to swap for a couple 5ers (preferrably each 5er is all of one vitola).

My favorites in order are H. Upmann PC, Rafael Gonzalez PC, Cohiba Sig II, Bolivar PC, Punch RS 12.

Then there is the Party Short but is is not a Mareva, its a Minuto.

All are at or just around $4 a stick.

Have had the RS12, HUPC, RGPC, but not the others.

And while these are near the $4.00 mark, most are at or above it (albeit not significantly), rather than closer to the other end of the range I set or even in the middle.

Your search ends here:

Rocky Patel Sungrown PC (4.5x44) - this cigar is available even cheaper as the RP Factory Select rosado, or the RP factory 2nd sungrown (available from Famous Smoke).

Best NC petite corona I have ever had at any price, bar none. These happen to fit in your price range too. I have smoked through roughly 2 bundles and everyone of them has had a perfect draw, flavor and burn. :2

I wish my neighborhood shop had these. I never get around to mail ordering stuff anymore unless it's something I really want.

These are quite tasty little smokes, sold in 40ct boxes as I recall.

I love the PC size because you can light up a smoke without having to really commit to it. If it goes out or tastes bad, no big deal. If it tastes good and you want it to keep going, they're small enough that you can just start a second one! :chr

Have gone through a box & a half of these (natural) and have tried the more expense version the '90, '92, and the Sun Grown.

But thanks for the offer.

I just looked, and there is an O for about $90 for 20. And yes, the is the G Special G (which didn't impress me).

Liked the Os I've had, so might have to look at these.

OK, may sound like a dumb question, but why?

Re: Petite Corona suggestions

For me the Super and the PC Esp. both have the classic Partagas flavor and are a bit strong. They are more in line with the taste of a Party Short. The Mille Fleurs is nothing like them IMO. They are still good... just kind of toned down and creamier.

I would. The RyJ is probably a bit stronger than the Parti.

It so happens I have both in the humi, if you're interested in a comparison. :D

Shipping would be fast and cheap. :r

I was thinking about a box of the Partagas MFs. Are they long filler handmade? and are they worth the $75/box price?

They are a decent smoke (I have a FEW boxes), but for near the same price point, the RyJ MF is a tastier stick.

For some good NC sticks, try either a CAO MX2 Dagger or 5Vegas Series 'A' Anomaly. The Anomaly can be had for about 1-2 bucks a stick on the evil website.

thanks, I was also undecided on whether to get the Partys or the RyJs. I've always been a Partagas guy but RyJ has been growing on me lately.

I do like them, but I want a bit longer smoke. Too bad there isn't one with a bit larger ring guage in that line - same size only a 40 or 42.

Gotcha Rev. And to go slightly larger puts you out of your price range.

My all time favorite PC is the Bolivar PC. Those can be had at about $4 a pop.

The only thing I can add to these lists is the J. Fuego Delirium Minuto...

Length 4.25
RG 40

Nice tasty little thing and right at $2.50 a stick or a box of 60 at around $135.

Rev, the JR Ultimate Petit Corona has long been a favorite of mine, especially before their recent price jump. Yet they still fall within you range. They are available in EMS, Natural, Maduro, or Oscuro. Another I've had good luck with amongst those not previously mentioned (that I could see) are the ERDM Petit Lonsdales, thought EMS is the only option.

I usually don't small small cigars. I keep a handful around for when I'm driving 25 minutes to work or something. I smoke the Rocky Patel Vintage Petite Coronas then. 4.5 X 44. You can get them fairly cheap on Cigar Bid.
