Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/box...ory?id=4705330
They have agreed to terms and are deciding on a date and venue for a fight. It will be at 147 pounds (welterweight). I cannot wait for this :tu |

Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
hopefully it will be better than the last big money bout i watched between david haye and nik valuev, it was piss poor and haye was very very lucky in my opinion, it was his good last round that won it

Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
I might actually consider paying money to watch this event. Failing that, I might convince a bunch of friends to come together at our B&M to pay for the fight so we can smoke and watch. That might actually be a better endeavor.

Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
I really hope this happens.......

Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
I would love to see Manny beat up on Money !!
|
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
Pacquiao has the heart and the drive, the will to win...Mayweather has the face of a baby and is a lame boxer, he boxes for points...I hope Pacquiao crushes his face

Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
Looks like the fight may not happen now. Paq-man won't fight with a olympic style drug testing. One source sited Pacquoiao is a little squemish with giving blood.
|
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
Mayweather is being a total sissy, trying to find anyway to get out of this fight. Pac said he would test right after the fight, but he doesn't want to have his blood drawn while he is training.

Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
For as much as I like Pacquiao, his class, his integrity in the ring and outside. At this point I'm questioning why he won't just say the hell with it and do the olympic style drug testing. The amount of blood they take is miniscule and will not effect oxygen levels in the body.
And being that Mayweather is from Michigan I might have to switch sides :hm |
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
I've really been looking forward to this match-up! I hope Pac Man silences Mayweather. :) Either way, it should be a great fight. :bx

I would rather fight than switch to Loudmouth Floyd.....and I am from Michigan too. :r |

This whole drug testing argument has gotten me thinking. If you are clean why would you not just submit yourself to the testing. If I was Pacquiao I would say yes just to shut up Floyd on the steriods front, and then use it as extra motivation to beat him harder. I just hope they come to some agreement and we can have the fight! |
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
I want them to fight too, not sure why Manny is so freaked out about giving blood. But if Floyd's camp is being hardline on this issue, then my guess is Floyd either wants more of the purse, or not to fight Manny at all.

Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
tsk tsk Mayweather and and his mind games. If it happens at the MGM, I can get tickets :)

Maybe give Pacquiao a few more million out of the purse to get him to do this. I really want to know why he won't do the testing! |

It shouldn't matter how many times they are blood tested as they use such a tiny about of blood. Pac-Man's schedule for wanting to give blood is interesting to me. Should be given at any time, not scheduled. However, I can see why they would want an independent agency to do the testing though. It's crap like this has, in part, virtually killed boxing, imo. |

Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
Not sure which one is a bigger douchebag: Mayweather or Pacquiano. Mayweather has a point, but so does Pacqyiono. Makes us pro-wrestling fans look less ignorant all the time.

"First and foremost, not only do I want to fight Manny Pacquiao, I want to whip his punk ass." -Floyd Mayweather
Pacquiao's promoter is saying the fight is dead. I hope they can get this bs resolved and fight. |

This whole situation is why, in part, that boxing is a dying, farce of a sport.

Manny's reasoning is a little soft as far as I'm concerned. He says it could weaken him before the fight? Well if that's the case, it would for Mayweather too, so no big deal. Afraid of needles??? The guy fights for a living...toughen up. Maybe Manny is/was doping and needs some time to clean it out before the test. For the biggest pay day in boxing history, I can't image this guy will give it up for the weak excuses he's provided so far. |
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
It's not like Mayweather to play mind games before a fight! Oh wait ... he does EVERY time. He wants to meet a weight shows up as something else. I believe that was the last fight he had.
If these guys want to fight, it will happen. Either way, I am watching the next Manny fight in March/April. Be it Yuri or whoever. :) |

I totally agree but it's the nature of the beast for the sport. When they do go toe to toe it's going to be a good one! Chris..... |
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather bout gaining ground
If you think something will affect you, no matter how ridiculous your reasoning is, it will.
Pacquiao attributed his last loss to Erik Morales or JMM because of the blood test he took the day before. He said he felt weak the day of the fight. PBF thinks he is at a disadvantage because in his mind, Pacquiao is on PED. |
