Torch lighter advise

I'm looking to purchase a torch lighter. Something in the 20-40 dollar range. Is XIKAR a good brand? I was looking at the Element. Also the Blazer BP-207. Any advise is appreciated.

XIKAR - Lifetime warranty....no questions asked. Unless you run over it with a dump truck.

well if you are going to spend $40, just buy 20 of these.

I have a Xikar executive, Calibrei firebird and a Ronson jetlight and I use this lighter 99% of the time. :tu

If you're looking for a table-torch, look at the vector with the perdomo logo. They are $30 on cigarsinternational and hold a ton of fuel. Too big to carry in your pocket, but great for around the house.

These are great lighters, Buy 3 and they are under $2.50 each delivered. PM me your addy and I will send one to you. Xikar and Blazer both make great lighters, but if you drop one of these or lose it you are only out a couple of bucks.

I bought a $20 triple flame lighter from my local Tinderbox, it has served me well. Dont know the brand, it was some no name deal.

I recommend a Blazer, any model. I personally have 2 of the CG-001.

Blazers also carry a LIFETIME warranty!

I got all sorts of lighters, cheap-mid priced and high priced. For a "pocket model" I most often use one of my dozen or so Ronson Jet Lites, they are the most dependable and under $3 each at some Walmarts. For table top use around the house I use a micro soldering torch most often, works wonderful, lasts a month or so without refilling and just feels good and powerful. Solder It is my favorite http://www.buy.com/prod/solder-it-pt...210438974.html

If you want to look cool, the Alec Bradley table top is top notch!

Blazer makes good dependable stuff for sure.:2

If you're spending the money get the blazer. Otherwise I'd go with the ronson, and use the rest of the cash for some more sticks! :2

Spend the $40 on 10 ronsons, and give 8 of them away in bombs.. All you'll ever need is one for use and one as a backup in case the "in use" one runs out of fuel :)

The Executive prices are good, but the Ronson prices are 2x... Did you check the local WalMarts for the Ronson?

When you can find them Ronson's are $2.96 + tx at Walmart and sometimes you can find them at Big Lots for $3.00 + tx. I have a local Walmart that usually has some if you can't find them PM me and we will work something out.:ss

I gotta tell you guys I haven't been smoking cigars that long but I am completely blown away by the cigar smoking community. The generosity, genuineness, kindness, realness, the way you guys are willing to help others is very unique. There really is something special going on here that can't be found anywhere else. At least not in my experience. It is really a privilege to be here.

Hey Bob I received the lighters yesterday. Thank you very much. The one you first suggested is very nice. I can't believe they cost less than 3 bucks:):)

Re: Torch lighter advise

For some reason I can't bring myself to buy the Blazer style Deal Extreme lighters... they (and most "Tank" style lighters) just look like something a meth head would use to me. That said, I'm still a cheap b@$t@rd, so I've been considering trying out one of these. It's not a dead perfect clone, but it really looks like a poor man's Xikar Element, and I prefer a punch to a cutter on anything but Belicosos anyway.

That looks classy, I have not used that one, but I have used many of the cheap DX lighters to great outcomes.

This is my favorite of the ten or so I have tried:

PB-207 is a great lighter, no doubt - until you lose it. Don't feel like replacing it for $30 plus.

I like a triple flame. Anybody had any experience with the jetline triple flame?

http://www.bargainhumidors.com/bh/Pr...id=ACC-JETLINE

Looks like a pretty decent PB-207 clone?

The Xikar Element is hard to beat although I will confess I pulled the trigger and order a ligne 2 St Dupont last week so my Xikar will be getting some breaks from daily use.
