Hey guys,

just wanted to let everyone know that I got engaged a couple weeks ago!

We're doing the long engagement think, so we've got plenty of time to plan. Or at least it seems like it.:r With all the excitement, and all the planning we have to do, I think the thing that I'm most nervous about is having to dance in front of people.

If you find a woman that is your friend as well as your "Lady", (equal parts of each), you will have a long and meaningfull relationship. Congratulations Tripp!

I've been there twice. One was a big wedding, and one was a small wedding. I know you're not soliticiting advice, but I feel compelled...

• If people prepared half as much for the marriage as they did for the wedding, the divorce rate would be half what it is now.
  
• It's not about the party, it's about the vows.
  
• What will you want to remember about that day 20 years from now? Think about that before the day.
  
• Going into years of debt for an elaborate ceremony/party is stupid. You'll never be sitting around one day saying "Honey, I wish we had spent more money on the party we don't remember. What the hell were we thinking?"
